Royal IHC high recovery jigs are used in wet gravity concentraons, where minerals with different parcle densies are separated. Its unique saw-tooth stroke paern and design provides a high-unit capacity and opmal recovery. IHC jigs are tradionally ulised in alluvial mining operaons to recover gold, n, diamond and mineral sands. However, a constant focus on new applicaons and the drive to innovate has resulted in the IHC Jig being applied in a wide variety of processes. It is designed to cope with fluctuaons in the feed slurry, both in volume flow and in solids concentraon. Together with the high throughput, it is an effecve pre-concentraon tool for a number of processes. IHC has the capability and knowledge to deliver turnkey jig plants as standalone units, or units integrated in a mineral processing plant. Our philosophy is to understand the specific requirements of our customers and deliver fit-for-purpose soluons.

DESIGN FEATURES TheIHCJigisdesignedtoseparateliberated(free)heavymineralparticlesfromtheganguematerialbythedifferenceintheirspecificgravity.Materialandprocesscharacteristicsdeterminethedesignandsettingsofanimplementedjig.Intheconcentrationofminerals,thereisnoapplicationofchemicals.Intheseparationprocess,onlythephysicalcharacteristicsoftheparticles,slurryflowandthejigdesignareused.

Combinedwiththelowpowerdemand,ithasalowenvironmentalfootprintandhasastandardmodulardesignwithatrapezoidalbed.Toincreasecapacity,multiplemodularjigscanbeplacedinacirculararrangementandcentralfeedingwithupto12modules.Toextendthejigfromapre-concentrationtooltoajigplantwithahigherupgrade,itcanbeplacedinseries.InadditiontotheMonoModule,IHChassmallermodulesforlowerfeedvolumes.

DRIVE SYSTEM TheheartoftheIHCJigistheasymmetricaldrivesystem,whichdeliversthegravitationalmovementthatseparatesheavyandlightparticlesinthejigbed.Thissaw-toothstrokepatternwasdevelopedandintroducedtothemarketbyIHC,andenablesahigh-unitcapacityandoptimalrecovery.

Separationofcoarse–aswellasfine–mineralparticlesisachieved(downto50micron).Thesystemcanbebothmechanicalandmechanical-hydraulic.Inahydraulicset-up,allmodulesaredrivenbyacentraldrivesystem,ensuringanefficientuseofelectricalpower.
