High Performance Programme

The Class 1 -5 programme was derived from the former Australian STAGES programme as developed by Ms Ju Ping.

The programme aims to develop advanced difficulty and superb execution simultaneously, in order to raise the standard of both, to meet international

standards

Routine description

• Stand at the middle of the beam. Jump to FRONT SUPPORT.

• Swing R leg sideways over beam with ¼ turn L to straddle sit, lift arms to high sideways, stretch legs slightly backward, head up.

• Place hands in front on beam, swing legs backward clear support, land feet under, legs straight behind, feet together, hips down, head up. Pull legs to hands to knee

sitting, lift arms to high sideways, place hands on beam.

• With small push off knees jump to squat, lift arms upward. Rise to toe standing on L leg, point R foot in front.

• Step forward R, arms 2nd

extended, close feet arms up.

• Run PUNCH FRONT SALTO DISMOUNT. (Extension before landing required )

CLASS 3

Routine description

• Stand +/- 1m from end of beam. Jump to CLEAR STRADDLE SUPPORT (Hold for 2sec) ¼ turn to straddle cross sit, open arms sideways stretch legs slightly backward

head up.

• Place hands close to body in front of beam, swing legs backward in a high cast to rear support, arms straight, head back, hips down on beam, with a small punch of

the legs, jump feet in towards hands to squat. Rise with immediate STRETCH JUMP, arms upwards to land standing.

• Point R foot in front & open arms sideways, head up.

• SPLIT LEAP R –SISSONE (connected)

• ½ TURN ON 1 FOOT, free leg, toe to knee.

• High kick CARTWHEEL TO LAND FACING SIDEWAYS, arms sideways

• Large body wave forward to stand, then arms push sideways, head back, recover to standing arms sideways.

• Close L foot to place on ball of foot next to R foot, cross arms in front of chest, ¼ turn L to point, arms open to high sideways

• Walk forward KICK L BACKWARD step forward R KICK BACKWARD

• Prepare BACKWARD WALKOVER WITH STRAIGHT LEG. SPLIT POSITION MUST BE SHOWN IN HANDSTAND PHASE, THEN NEEDLE SCALE (hands on beam and mark

position) THEN RELEASE HANDS LIFT CHEST & BLOCK LEG AT HORIZONTAL SCALE (mark position), land in lunge /block position.

• Step KICK LEG HIGH IN FRONT, lift into SPLIT HANDSTAND (1 sec), CLOSE LEG HANDSTAND(1 sec), SPLIT HANDSTAND(1 sec) and land in lunge/block position. Arms

optional. ½ turn on two feet (optional)

• CARTWHEEL BACK TUCK KICK OUT. (must be connected) (Extension before landing required)

CLASS 4

Routine description

• Stand at side-end of beam JUMP TO SIDE SPLIT, LIFT ARM TO HIGH SIDEWAYS (MARK POSITION), BEND R LEG IN FRONT TURN TO SIDE, PLACE BACK FOOT ON

BEAM, STRETCH L ARM IN FRONT.

• Place hands on beam, lift to place R knee on beam, lift L leg high backward to knee, mark position, place L foot in front on beam (toes pointed), arms upward. Open

opposite arm to leg, shoulders open. Raise to point R foot at the back on the beam, arms high sideways. Lift R foot to L knee, knee sideways, arms sideways,

develop’ R forward, L arm forward, R arm sideways.

• 1 or 2 steps SPLIT LEAP immediate WOLF. Stretch legs, lift arms forward to upward, open to high sideways, ½ turn on 2 feet.

• Point L foot in front, Forward kick, forward kick, BACKWARD KICK (arms lift forward to backward), BACKWARD KICK (arms lift forward to backward). Head release on

2nd

kick.

• Step backward ,arms down

• BACKWARD WALKOVER immediate FLIC (connection). Close feet, traveling arched stretch jump forward, arms upward, swing arms down stretch jump forward,

arms upward, to land on one bent leg, one leg stretched out in front (REBOUND JUMP TO POSE)/ ½ turn on 1 foot directly into lifting free leg backward to BALANCE

STANDING ON BENT R LEG. (Arms opposite, hold 2 sec, stretch bottom leg, hold 1 sec-arms sideways. Close free leg.

• Stand at the side-end of the beam. Jump& straddle legs over beam to straddle level hold mark position. STRADDLE PRESS TO HANDSTAND HOLD 2 SEC, LOWER

LEGS TO STAG SITTING ON BEAM, lift arms to high sideways.

• Place R hand on beam, turn shoulders to R side, L arm stretch low forward, lift L arm upwards to slightly backward, head up, step forward L foot across R leg, with

½ turn R raise to crouch on R leg, place L foot with slightly bent knee in front on beam, arms 5th

, open R arm low forward, L arm high sideways.

• Rise to standing on L leg arms upward, 1 or 2 steps CHANGE LEG LEAP, DIRECT STRETCH JUMP. Land RING KICK BACKWARDS (head must be released)

• Half turn on 1 foot (front attitude )

• Forward kick, FORWARD WALKOVER-CARTWHEEL (Connected) to end in lunge. Step forward point back leg behind front foot, bend both knees (plié) BODY WAVE,

arms circle backward, downward, forward to upward, stretch legs at the end of the body wave.

• BACKWARD WALKOVER Show split handstand, needle scale & balance stand to lunge/block position.

hands, hands remain on floor, head down , 2 BACKNEEDLE SCALE KICKS (one with each leg) at the end of the last kick close feet , lift chest to toe standing, arms high

sideways.

• HANDSPRING LAND 2 FEET, FLY SPRING TUCKED PUNCH FRONT IMMEDIATE REBOUND (PUNCH JUMP). Connected 2 running steps SIDE LEAP land in curtsey – free

leg pointed behind landing leg, arms crossed in front of chest, developè free leg to high sideways arms open to sideways, chasse 1/1 TURN (FORWARD LEG
