Spiritual VisitsWeek of September 21

We are excited to offer an opportunity for congregants to come into the building for a private, reflective moment. Sign up for a date/time slot to visit the Memorial Alcove and open ark in the Sanctuary. For health & safety of all, please adhere to your assigned time slot, wear a mask and maintain social distancing. If you requested a printed copy of the Book of Remembrance, you can pick it up during your visit.

TzedakahDuring the High Holy Days, it is tradition to perform the mitzvah of Tzedakah. This is even more meaningful this year, as so many in our greater community are suffering hardships due to the health and economic impacts of the pandemic.

The Social Action Committee has put together the following opportunities: Mini Mitzvah Collection - Sunday, September 13, 9am - 12pm

Food Collection Drive - Week of September 21 - drop off times TBD

Refer to emails for items needed, how to drop off, and beneficiary organizations.

The congregation is also making a donation to local organizations who are helping those with food insecurity during this critical time, so that they can purchase what is most needed. If you would like to participate, please make a donation to the Meals That Matter Fund, which is found within the Programs & Community Funds category on www.bethor.org/donate/give-now.

Program: A Conversation about Repentance & RedemptionSaturday, September 12, 7:30pm

Rabbi Marx is joined by college student, Ryann Milligan to discuss what she learned while studying with Rabbi Marx over the summer about the impact of anti-semitic actions, even when its due to youthful ignorance. And, we all learn the important lessons of repentance, redemption and compassion in this age of “cancel” culture. This program is appropriate for all ages.
