Hidden Beach, Aloguinsan Cebu
I am a Cebuano and I've been to a lot of local dest inat ions for quite some t ime now. I neverexpected there are more than just savory lechon or 'puso' that can describe Cebu's f lavor as awhole and more than just Moalboal or Bantayan Island that can describe beaches in Cebu as awhole. There are a lot of hidden splendid yet to be uncovered in our humble island (I'm pret ty sureall other places in the Philippines too).
Forgive me if I'm a lit t le bias in this entry, I just can't help myself but admire my own place. I've beento dif ferent dest inat ions outside Cebu but for a budget t ripper like me and my wife, we askedourselves why do we need to spend a lot when we can f ind stunning places nearby with less cost?I never t ire researching worthy-to-visitlocal Cebu dest inat ions, especiallyhidden beaches. Aloguinsan was one ofthe results that came up from googlewhen I was searching for hidden beachesin Cebu. Aloguinsan is located south ofCebu where you can f ind the famousBojo river. Bojo river is amazing, you canride a boat and cruise the ent ire riverwith a scenic view and magnif icent rockformat ions (that 's gonna be my nextdest inat ion).Hidden beach in Aloguinsan on otherhand sure was hidden from civilizat ionthat you'll never expect a long dirt roadwith barely visible shore can lead you toa white sand beach. The sand may not be as f ine and aswhite as Moalboal and Tingko, but what Ilike about the place is how f lourishingthe shore was. It 's full of life. I sawnumerous hermit crabs, dif ferent colored

numerous hermit crabs, dif ferent coloredstar f ish and sea urchins around.
I admire healthy and clean beaches thereare a lot of sea creatures here unlikeLambug, and that makes Hidden Beachin Aloguinsan one of my favorite localdest inat ion.
My 2 cents:
How to get there? There are fewbus trips f rom Cebu Bus Terminalstraight to Aloguinsan, otheralternat ives are:
Bus from Cebu toMantalongon and Motorcycle(habal2x) f rom Mantalongonto Aloguinsan.
Bus from Cebu to Toledo and jeepney fromToledo to Aloguinsan.
Bus from Cebu to Pinamungajan and jeepneyfrom Pinamungajan to Aloguinsan.
You can the ride a motorcycle or t ricycle f rom themain road to Hidden Beach Resort .
Accomodation. very cheap, overnight stay in a simpleroom/hut with electricity and bed will cost you P500.Entrance fee P10, cot tages/stalls P150 to P250.
Food. It is always best to bring your own, but you canst ill buy meat or ready to eat food and supplies (water, etc) f rom markets on your drop of f locat ions. Grilling isallowed in the place.
Other head's up. Since the main entrance going to theplace is secluded, you can ask your t ricycle/motorcycledriver to pick you up when going home. And bevery caut ious in stepping in the water, a lot of seaurchins or better yet wear beach shoes.
