High levels of digestible fibre to promote a healthy gut environment. Fibre also provides slow release energy which helps those horses requiring extra stamina for endurance type work.

Oil, to provide calories, ideal for horses requiring weight gain or those with limited appetites. Oil provides ‘slow-release energy’ and therefore will not cause unwanted excitability in horses. Soya oil, in particular contains the essential fatty acids required for peak equine health as well as improving body and coat condition.

Micronised cereals, to improve palatability and maximise digestion of cereal starch, reducing the incident of this starch reaching the hind gut, potentially causing problems, such as tying up (azoturia), colic and laminitis.

Micronised soya and peas offer a good sources of quality protein, providing essential amino acids required to build and repair cells, tissues and muscle. Soya in particular is important in breeding stock and performance horses.

A comprehensive range of vitamins and minerals are included in our range. This provides a complete balanced ration thus removing the need to add extra supplements.

Gastric Settler is designed to help maintain gastric health in horses at risk from dietary induced gastric ulceration. Horses that are fed a high cereal starch rich ration, often with a lower than ideal level of forage, are at a higher risk of gastric ulceration. This is particularly evident in horses without significant access to grazing that are undertaking regular exercise.

Gastric Settler should not be regarded as a treatment or cure for gastric ulcers and advice and treatment from your veterinary surgeon should always be sought where active gastric ulcers are suspected. Gastric Settler, however, can be used to maintain gastric health following veterinary treatment and in other horses at risk from gastric ulceration due to their diet and management.

Gastric Settler is also useful to help maintain overall digestive health promoting efficient digestion and reducing the likelihood of dietary induced digestive disturbances.

How does Gastric Settler work?Maintains a healthy pattern of fermentation in the stomach reducing the accumulation of lactic acidReduced the amount of time that the gastric mucosa is exposed to a high level of gastric acidity through its buffering action forms a physical barrier between the gastric mucosa and acidic gastric juices.

Active ingredients within gastric settler include:

Live yeast (saccharomyces cerevisae) – Helps to maintain a healthy balance of microflora within the stomach and general digestive tract. Can also help to maintain normal levels of acidity by supporting the growth of bacteria known as lactate utilisers.Pectin & Lecithin – forms a physical barrier between the gastric juices and the sensitive non glandular region of the stomach in a similar way to the presence of food within the stomach.Acid Buff – provides a slow release form of calcium carbonate, which has a buffering action within the stomach and digestive tract as a whole to counteract dietary induced acidity.Zeolite – has the ability to adsorb undesirable substances such as mycotoxins, which may be present in feed.Alfalfa – has been shown scientifically to be beneficial in maintaining gastric health due to its buffering action.

Active ingredients included:

Pectin & Lecithin Acid Buff

Zeolite Alfalfa

A unique formulation that will aid digestion, help preventgastric ulcers, other related upsets and maximise

performance in competition and race horses
