Pavilions Roller Disco Thank you to all of the volunteers and customers who took part in the Roller Disco held in the Pavilions over the Easter Holidays. Everyone who participated enjoyed their special time on the rink. The money totalling £1799 donated by those skating was enough

to purchase a new scooter, which is now ready to go into service.

Do we have the correct email address for you? If you are not currently receiving emails from us and would like to then let the staff know next time you are in the office and we will add you to our circulation list.

Autoshow

The Autoshow held on the Uxbridge showground on the 21st July was a great success. Our fleet of scoters were out and about around the show, giving people with a mobility problem the chance to enjoy a day out with family and friends. There were many vintage cars and numerous stalls to visit. The Rotary president Mike Crane invited us, to become one of the star attraction in the exhibition ring. Mike led the parade of scooters around the ring and then back to the Barclays charity tent ready for people to hire out for the day. We raised a total of £215.50 by hiring scooters and selling plants from our stall.

Birthday Celebrations

On the 25th July Banners were raised balloons were blown and a cake was

made. We officially celebrated 21 years of service. On the hottest day of the year visitors were glad to get in the shade provided by two awnings outside the office. The Mayor cut the cake, which was then shared to all guests. Aaron Bayliss, general manager of the Pavilions, unveiled the new scooter purchased with the roller disco donations.

We sold plants and homemade cakes and ran a tombola and raised nearly £90 in the process.

No card no stamp!From November, we will no longer be adding a stamp at a later date to your registration card if you do not have it with you. Unfortunately, the staff are so busy in the office with the new parking procedures introduced by intu, they will not have time to make notes of visits made without a card.

Cards will be stamped at the time of your visit and in order to take advantage of the free visit you must present a card with 5 stamps.

There has been a lot of damage to the sides of the scooters lately. When you are going through doors and navigating small spaces please can you keep your speed turned to low as we need to minimise the damage caused. Thank you.

Also, can you please remember to switch off your equipment when not in us and getting on and off. It's very easy to knock a lever and have an accident if left switched on.

If you are not sure of the boundaries to where you can take your equipment

please ask at reception where we will be happy to give you a map that shows where you can take your wheelchair or scooter.

We would also like to remind you that under the terms and conditions of our insurance you must not carry children or animals on the equipment. We would also advise you not to carry bags of heavy shopping on your scooter as this can make it unstable. This is all for your safety. Thank you for your cooperation.
