IntroductionIntroduction

Hello there! We are from Handsworth Grammar School. In our team we have Simrat Singh, Akaash Hussain, Nadeem Pervaiz & Minh Ngoc Nguyen.

We have spent a lot of time preparing everything for today and we hope that you enjoy viewing it as much as we have enjoyed preparing it.

Our ideasOur ideas• We had an informal discussion regarding the current state of transport,

rather than criticise, we felt that it would be best to help influence adaptation. Some of our ideas are listed below.

• A cable cart system running above ground linking the iconic and landmarks of Birmingham

• A hover car running on hydrogen and powered by solar cells plus batteries at night when there is no sun

• We came up with many designs some of which you will see later on in the presentation [and on the information boards]

Our Vision of The FutureOur Vision of The FutureImagine safe, reliable and trouble-free travelWe all know that transport has a large impact on

the environment so our main priority is to make sure that it is accessible to everyone.

We all find it frustrating waiting for what sometimes seems like extravagant lengths of time waiting for buses, trains and trams. Are you with us? Do you want this to change?

Ever wondered about ticket less travel – similar to the Oyster card scheme in London?

Our vision is to revolutionize Transport for those residing in the West Midlands Conurbation

Private PodPrivate Pod

Imagine travelling in air-conditioned comfort at speeds of up to 500 kph/300 mph

That would mean that you could travel the distance from Handsworth to Hall Green in under 30 minutes

Now imagine every pod to be private to you and your family/friends at the same rates as the bus fare of the 21st century.

Super Tram Super Tram

Have you ever struggled to find a parking space in town? Have you ever strived for a solution...well here it is!

Super Tram drops you off right at your destination, whether that be NEC or Bullring.

A plant needs three different tools to photosynthesise: Water, Sunlight and Carbon dioxide. This is all a plant needs to survive.

Imagine a car which runs on this same principal... The vehicle will have a grassy roof which will absorb CO2

and let out Oxygen. This will be good for the environment. The vehicle will have solar panels to absorb in Sunlight

during the day and for the night, it will run on batteries.Vehicles usually have to have petrol put inside them but

these vehicles will need water instead. They will be highly attractive – appealing to the much wider

population of 18-35 year olds.
