Jamaica to Inject $20 million to Strengthen ICT The Development Bank of Jamaica will lend $20 million to the Jamaican government for the construction of multiple ICT centers across the country. These centers are expected to facilitate creation of about 8,000 jobs while expanding Jamaica’s ICT/BPO delivery capabilities. The availability of new funds is expected to bolster ICT infrastructure and create the right platform for foreign companies to take part in the country’s growth. Outsourcing companies that have significant presence in the country include Hinduja Global Solutions and Sutherland Global Solutions.
