Residents had reported issues with drug dealing around

the area of the Greenway and Northgate ponds to the

local team. Local officers patrolled the area and appre-

hended and arrested three males who were believed to

be dealing drugs in the area. Intelligence from the local

community is vital to continue this work. If you are

affected by drug dealing in your area pass the information to your local officers or via 101.

Removal of a tent from the Northgate Ponds

Concerned residents and park users reported a tent pitched in

the Northgate Ponds. PCSO Steve Edmonds attend the area

and located the tent but with no persons within.

He issued a 24hour eviction notice and returned the next day

and spoke with the individual and advised of local centres and

projects that they could attend to help with rough sleeping.

The individual cooperated and vacated the area.

Chester City and Chester South Beat Management team work together to deal with sus-picious activity

A member of the public called Cheshire Police to report suspicious activity in the City Cen-tre having seen people injecting themselves in daylight hours in a public place. PC DUCK-WORTH attended the location where 2 males ran off. A foot chase through the City com-menced which lead to both males being detained which resulting in a 48 hour dispersal notice being issued to both males preventing them from returning to Chester due to suspi-cion they were supplying drugs.

Less than 48 hours later, PC HAZLEWOOD was on foot patrol on the Greenway Cycle Path near to Northgate Ponds following local concerns about suspicious behaviour in the area. PC HAZLE-WOOD then sighted the same males from the previous incident, both males ran off from but were located hiding in a nearby garden. Both males were arrested and bailed to attend court at a later date for breaching their dispersal

notices.
