After a successful Ramp-Up, since January 2003 R/3 Enterprise isn in unrestricted shipment
n available to all customers
3phases took place during the Ramp-Up.
(Started: July, September and November 2002)
~ 50%of the selected customers use new functionality in
the SAP R/3 Enterprise Extensions
>220customers were selected for Ramp-Up (worldwide)
26 customer have gone live

n Compared to previous shipments, there was considerable benefit inthe early training of SAP consultants and partners
R/3 Enterprise product experiencen Customers have really experienced that the upgrade technology is
smoother than ever before
n Customers starting from a R/3 release higher than 4.0B benefit fromtechnical enhancements like the SAP Modification Assistant(available since 4.5B)
n During the Ramp-Up phase, no major issues were reported bycustomers

Maintenance for SAP R/3 – The IS-PS solution
The standard maintenance schedule for the IS-PS solution followsthe schedule of the basis release it is built onn Like customers, IS-PS development teams depend on the
maintenance activities of core teams
n Thus, extensions to the maintenance decided by SAP also extendsthe maintenance of IS-PS
n The IBU Public Sector does not currently offer the option of a fee-based extension of maintenance. The overlap of available releases isassumed to be large enough to plan and test upgrades

Summaryn Maintenance for 3.1I, 4.0B, 4.5B and 4.6B was extended until the end
of 2003 without any additional fees
n Extension of maintenance for 3.1I, 4.0B, 4.5B and 4.6B beyondDec.31st, 2003 is possible for a 2% additional fee
n IS-PS versions based on 3.1I, 4.0B, 4.5B and 4.6B are not covered bythe offer of a fee-based extension
n Maintenance of 4.6C was extended until March 31st, 2006, with noextra fee
