HERE, THERE & EVERYWHERE KATHARINE LIBRETTO

“Here, There & Everywhere” is a series of fine art screen-printed editions, depict-ing natural landscapes and constructed landmarks in vivid colour and dynamic imagery. The imagery takes inspiration from the artist’s surroundings, reflecting on her observations and experiences. The landscape prints within the series are composited of real and imagined scenery, fused into compositions that could be everywhere and anywhere. The landmark prints within the series are hand drawings of buildings, removed from the greater cityscape where they are found, singled out and altered in colour, environment and detail.

Experimental New York born printmaking artist Katharine LiBretto’s first exhibi-tion in Hong Kong! Being held on Friday the 26th of September at ODD ONE OUT from 7pm to 9pm, Katherine will be in attendance showing her new series of screenprints created in New York.

Katharine is from the United States and received her Bachelor of Fine Art degree in 2007, concen-trating in Graphic Design, at C.W. Post College/Long Island University, in New York. From 2009-2011 she studied at The School of Visual Arts’ Continuing Education program in New York City until she moved to London to develop her print-making practice full time. In 2012 she received a Masters degree with Merit at Camberwell Col-lege of Art/University of the Arts London in print-making. In 2013 she was granted a month long printmaking Artist Residency at the Women’s Stu-dio Workshop in New York, USA. Her work has been exhibited regularly in London galleries, at Art Fairs and exhibitions, and is currently exhib-ited in Hong Kong, London and the United States. This is her first solo exhibition in Hong Kong.
