Processes Georgia Modification for INGRESS: ZSRGDIS - INGRESS Extract

24x7 INGRESS Automated Seat Balancer will:

Associate sending and receiving sections for the shared class.

Read up-to-date enrollment counts from Banner.

Allocate ¾ of the available seats equally to the partner institutions.

Update maximum and available seat counts in Banner.


Seat Balancer Calculation Available seats for each institution = (Maximum seat count -Total

enrollment count) x ¾ / Number of institutions. Portion of the total available seats that is held in reserve = ¼

Example: Maximum seat count = 30 Total enrollment count = 0 Number of institutions = 2 Available seats for each institution = (30 - 0) x ¾ / 2 = 11 Number of seats held in reserve = 8

• The maximum, actual and remaining enrollment counts match INGRESS.


Receiving Institution

• The maximum, actual, and remaining enrollment counts match INGRESS.



• Enrollments at the sending and receiving institutions. • Partner institutions do not have to register the same number

This receiving section already exists with a different CRN. Class is approaching full capacity.

This CRN is already used for another active course section. The section is in a temporary hold status.

Invalid S / R code. The section that was on-hold has been processed successfully.

Invalid INGRESS Common Term Code. Attendance verification has been submitted.

Class has met/exceeded its capacity.

Midterm grades have been submitted.

Final grades have been submitted.

The sending section is being held for processing.
