When Henri was 22 he became ill with appendicitis – that left him bedridden for a year.

His mother gave him a set of oil paints….Henri was hooked.

“when I first started to paint , I felt transported into a kind of paradise…In everyday life I was usually bored by what people were always telling me what to do. Starting to paint I felt gloriously free, quiet and alone.”

Black paper for back drop

Choose three (3) papers for geometric shapes

Choose two (2) papers for organic shapes

Use pattern to lay out geometric shapes. Glue in place.

Layer organic shapes on top. Glue in place.
