Senior DessertBy: Madison Loomis

The Senior Dessert was held Wednesday, April 27, 2016 where students brought their favorite

treats and made some more high school memories. Around 6:00 PM seniors arrived and met in the commons or gym where they picked up graduation tickets. A drawing at 6:30 PM took place for extra graduation tickets giveaways and a limited amount of extra tickets were also sold for $10 per seat.

Grad night tickets were also available for purchase at $55, but don’t worry if you

missed this opportunity, they will be available for $60 at the door. All students who bought grad night tickets by April 27th were entered into a Limo Lunch drawing, the winners are to be announced.

The senior dessert was an overall success and great opportunity for students to get together for one of our

many senior activities. If you missed this, event graduation tickets will be hard to come by and further information on how to get them is not available at this time. There are only a handful amount of days until we graduate class of 2016, hang in there and enjoy!

Summer 2016Luis Blanco

It is May of 2016 and it is already the end of the year. Seniors are graduating---wish them luck---end of school

activities, FINALS, and pre-preparation to SUMMER 16! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO! What are your plans for the summer? I know I want to go exploring and see things I’ve never seen before. Do things I’ve never done before. Especially for the future seniors of 2017! Last time to be young and dumb before we become adults. Spend your time wisely being a teen while it remains.

What are thing to do in the summer? Think I can help with that. Beach? I think yes. Get yourself to the nearest sea and

get yourself a tan! Just don’t get sunburnt because I guarantee it will hurt A LOT (in case you didn’t know). MAKE TYE DYE SHIRTS! The most absolute comfortable and rad clothing to wear during the warmest time of the year. MULTI COLOR THAT SHIRT! YES! Go downtown San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or any city and venture under the summer glam of June and July. Blast your hot play list and dance till the night away. And for those creative’s, read a novel that can get you sunk into a world of fantasy. Create art. Find your inner self that you think is lost. Life is too short to be bored and gloomy. Yourself comes first before anyone else and that head of yours should always be up. This is your time to be crazy and emanate your youth before we grow up. Enjoy your summer kids. MAKE GOOD CHOICES AND BE SAFE. Peace, Love, and Sandy Feet.

Life’s a Beach. Enjoy the Wave.

Spring Sports Wrap UpBy Hailey Jacobson

As the school year comes to an end, so do the seasons of most spring athletes. We are heading into the final

lengths of our seasons. We have many teams beginning to reach league finals and then will proceed into CIF. The spring teams include: track, swim, volleyball, golf, baseball, softball, tennis. These teams have finished up league play and have headed straight into prelims and then will travel into league finals and then the winners from that will participate in CIF.

Best of luck to all you Spring athletes out there, do what you do and make us Proud Bulldogs!

Memorial Day takes place Monday, May 30, 2016 this year and should be a great summer kick off to our

schools summer recess. Although we can’t forget what this day is really about. It’s reserved for the remembrance of those who died in our U.S active military services. Traditionally on May 30, but now officially on the last Monday in May, our nation pays respect to all lives lost. I went around our school to ask students what their plans were for Memorial Day weekend and this is some of our Bulldogs big plans. Madisin Stockton said, “I plan on going to the river and having a great time with my family and close friends.” Yet, Keely McMacken stated, “I most likely have a club soccer game that weekend so Monday will just be a chill out day!” We asked Kamryn Gonzales, and she says, “My family and I go to the river every year, so that’s what I will be up too.” But, Austin Peirce informed, “Memorial weekend my dad will probably force me to see ‘X-Men Apocalypse,’ and then I’ll just chilling out in my room.”

I hope everyone has a memorable Memorial Day! Have fun and stay safe Bulldogs, but most importantly don’t

forget to thank those who serve our country and the true meaning of Memorial Day!

Page 4Page 4Cinco de Mayo

By Brianna White

Cinco de Mayo is probably the holiday most often celebrated that no one understands. There is

surprisingly a lot of American History in this Mexican holiday. May 5, better known as Cinco de Mayo, is a holiday that commemorates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican war. A relatively minor holiday in Mexico, in the United States, Cinco de Mayo has evolved into a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage, particularly in areas with large Mexican-American populations. Cinco de Mayo traditions include parades, mariachi music performances and street festivals in cities and towns across Mexico and the United States.

Many people outside Mexico mistakenly believe that this holiday is a celebration of Mexican

independence, that event is commemorated on September 16. The Independence of Mexico was declared more than 50 years before the Battle of Puebla. It’s a fun holiday, really more about celebrating the Mexican way of life than about remembering a battle. It is sometimes referred to as a “Mexican St. Patrick’s Day.” Here in the US, remember being school children and having to do units on the holiday, decorate our classrooms and try each others hand at cooking some basic Mexican foods. All over the world, even Mexican restaurants bring in Mariachi bands and offer specials for what’s almost certain to be a packed house.

Batman V Superman REVIEWBy Austin Pierce

In three words, how would I describe this film? A lost opportunity, when I went to see this film, I wasn’t excited, I’d

heard the rumors about how bad it was…but I kept my head up! My father was there and was excited, so I was too…but...it was worse than what I’d imagined. Why? Well we might have to go into some SPOILER territory for that.

First, the acting in this movie is, for the most part, just OK. Superman (Henry Cavill) does his best, but still falls a bit

flat. Batman (Ben Affleck) is honestly the best part of the film though, people doubted him but he did a very good rendition of batman! I believed he was Batman, not Ben Affleck in a costume. But for every good actor in this movie, there’s a parallel. The elephant in the room is Lex Luthor, Jesse Eisenberg is NOT Lex Luthor, he plays the role as if it’s the Joker! Wonder Woman (Gal Gaddot) not only doesn’t act like Wonder Woman, she doesn’t even act!

The story is crowded, and tries to do too much in one film, again, SPOILERS from here on out. This movie isn’t just

Batman V Superman, no, THAT titanic of a story isn’t enough to fill a two hour film. This film is Batman, Batman V Superman, Justice League Origins, Doomsday, AND the Death of Superman (The latter only taking place during the last TEN MINUTES of the film). So yeah, does it accomplish any of it…not really? The

origins of the Justice League is done fine, but still rushed into the film, and Batman V Superman looks cool but isn’t interesting as a dichotomy. Doomsday is done poorly and is the least cool version, with an entirely stupid backstory. And the Death of Superman at the last ten minutes is an insult to DC as a whole

If you’re a DC Fan, do not see this film, it isn’t worth your time. If you just want to see some actually okay action scenes, go

ahead, I won’t stop you from watching it. It has some good CG and some good action, but overall is a bad film.

But, even though I don’t want to see THIS incarnation of a DC Cinematic Universe Continue…I’m still up to see Ben

Affleck’s Batman film.

I give Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice a 3 out of 10

Tax DayBy: Madison Loomis

Most of us aren’t affected by this dreadful day, but Tax Day isn’t going away anytime soon and with

how America’s votes are playing out for this upcoming presidential election and it’s something you should know about. This year Tax Day is was on Monday, April 18, 2016 unlike the usual April 15 filing deadline. The switch applied to both federal and state returns.

You can thank the Emancipation Day holiday in the District of Columbia for the extra time. Emancipation

Day is a celebration of the anniversary of the Compensated Emancipation Act. Signed by President Abraham Lincoln on April 16, 1862, the act freed 3,000 slaves in the District of Columbia. Although, taxpayers who need even more time to complete their federal returns can request an automatic six-month extension. The request had to be filed by April 18 (April 19th for residents of Maine or Massachusetts.) The six-month extension gives taxpayers until Oct. 17 to file their returns. The only catch is you must estimate your tax liability and pay any amount due

when you request the extension. Taxpayer’s will get extra time to file their returns in 2017, too. Next year, April 15 falls on a Saturday, so the filing deadline will be April 17.

Hopefully that was some useful information about Tax Day and what deadlines to meet. Happy Taxing!

AND I WANT IT

NOW!

Kelley Run Success!By Keely McMacken

As you may know, our campus Breakfast Club put on the First Annual Janice Kelley Memorial Run on

Saturday, April 16th at the Diamond Valley Lake. With the 5K beginning at 12 o’clock and 10K at 1, participants made sure to get there extra early to get register and warm up. We had a whopping 110 runners, which came as a surprise to the club due to the fact that they only had about 80 pre registered. Although we thought we had enough materials, within the hour of registration we quickly cleaned out both the t-shirts and the water bottles provided. All races were finished by about 2 o’clock with a medaling ceremony taking place after all participants crossed the finish line. The adult 5K medalists were: in first place Jayden Emerson, second place finisher was David Sprangler, and third was Louie Felix, and the youth medalists were: Ben Browen, Eduardo Toris, and Tyler Graves. The adult 10K placers first place runner was Anna Lahti, Misty Hitchcock came in second, and Ann Plantenga crossing the finish line in third, with youth placers Zachary Krell, Joseph Byrd, and Jared Potvin. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to participate, whether you ran or volunteered, you made the First Annual Janice Kelley Memorial Run even more successful than we could have ever imagined. Hope to see you next year!

Bates Motel Reviewby Luis Blanco

Ever seen the original American film, “Psycho”? Well you’re in for a good one. Bates Motel is a American drama-thriller

TV show developed by Carlton Cuse, Kerry Ehrin, and Anthony Cipriano. It is produced by Universal Television for the cable network A&E. The series is a prequel to Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960s film Psycho that portrays the lives of Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) and his mother, Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga); after the death of Norman’s father that apparently was taken as an “accident”. Norma leaves to White Pine Bay in Oregon and buys a motel; they pack up their belongings and the dignity they have left to begin their new chapter.

This show is rather remarkable by the fact of the insanity that ensues! Norman is a teenager that grew up in a tough

patch throughout his life---usually at the wrong place at the wrong time---but always stuck by his mother because of their close relationship (what I mean by close, is super close). By that, Norman develops a psychotic disorder that eventually becomes out of control and endangers the people around him, (or does he?). Man, if you think that’s engrossing then wait till you go through murder avenue throughout this show. This television series has many things that just pop into your head like “WHAT JUST HAPPENED….” and yet astonishment continues to kick in; the insanity begins to be the new normal for the Bates family.

Rotten Tomatoes has rated the series 89%, amazing and I absolutely agree.

However, I highly recommend kids below 14 years shouldn’t watch this show, it’s not like any Disney show if you know what I mean! If you haven’t seen this show, Netflix provides 3 seasons of it---if you don’t have Netflix then there’s something wrong with you--- and season 4 episodes are popping up on Mondays at 8 P.M. A&E so don’t miss it!

The New Ramonaby Hailey Jacobson

I am pretty sure that almost all of us have seen the Ramona Pageant at least once in our lives, and if you haven’t seen it

maybe you have been apart of it. Well this year something’s about the play are very different. The biggest difference this year is that we have a new Ramona, who is believe it or not pregnant for the second time. The fresh face has taken on the challenge of living up to the old Ramona’s standards that were set before she passed on the torch.

Another new thing that was introduced to the pageant was the addition of a narrator. It was put in place to

help the audience follow and understand what is going on because, especially for the elementary schools who take a field trip up there every year, it can be very hard to understand.

If you have the opportunity go out and see the pageant and be apart of the magic that is created while watching the

lives of these people. You will not regret it!

Page 7Mother’s dayBy Brianna White

moth·er/ˈməT͟Hər/Noun

1. The woman who loves you unconditionally from birth, the one who puts her kids before herself and the one who you can always count on above every-one else.

Just telling her your problems can make your day ten times better. Moms know how to make the pain go away,

all of them. No matter how low your feeling, she can make it better. The hardest and lowest paid, but most rewarding job in the world. No one can make you feel the way she can, it’s an indescribable, feeling, from the happiest point to even irritation; let’s remember arguments with mom are inevitable. No doubt, these ladies play the biggest role in your life, the Queen. Sadly, many people are not blessed with a mother but are definitely blessed with an alternative such as a grandmother, aunt, cousin, or any women caring figure. We’re a little piece of mom. Who else can motivate you like your very own mother; who can push you to those limits where you thought you’d never be?

My mom, where can I begin? She’s my world. Nothing, and I do mean nothing in the whole universe, can

ever compare or even be above my queen herself. We are literately twins, even though the arguments are extensive. So much of myself is she. When I need a little more encouragement in my life, I turn to her. In my lowest points, I turn to her. If I ever just need to talk to somebody about my day, I talk to her. Having a strong bond with your mother is probably something you should learn to have when you’re at a younger age. Being younger and creating that bond gives it time to flourish and develop over the years.

So make sure to show your mom you love her, not just this Mother’s Day, but every day and every time you

can!

P.S. TeensLuis Blanco

Dear Teens,

What are things that inspire you? Is it art, movies, books, people, pictures, fashion, or even music? Inspiration

is a strong feeling; a feeling of our minds being opened to possibilities, things we consume that bring out the art within us.

Music and films inspire me the most. My favorite time to listen to music like Coldplay, Iron and Wine, Sleeping

at Last, The Fray, Ingrid Michaelson, Birdy, A. Fine Frenzy, Christina Perri, Ed Sheeran, Kodaline, and other soft tunes are during the nighttime. On those nightly drives under the stars listening to lyrics that seem to thrive within my soul; the nightly conversations I have with my mom or sister or any close loved one, all of these inspire me. They believe I can do what I want to do, and can make it big if I want to. My mom always catches me when I fall and gets me back on my feet to continue what I love doing, writing. I have many fears that get in the way of my ambitions and I just want to give up. But I know if I give up, I will be giving up on the most important person in my life, my mom. She inspires me to go forward and to focus on my dream. I can’t let her down.

Whatever you are going through my friends, push it aside and think about yourself. You come first before anyone

else. Get inspired by the beauty that surrounds you and focus on what you love to do. We make many mistakes during our teenage years but that doesn’t mean we can’t learn from them. It is never too late to do what is right for our selves. I believe in you. Create a Picasso picture, take photos of exotic places or people, watch a movie that makes you laugh, read a writing piece that speaks to you, listen to lyrics that make you aspire to do better, or listen to the people that know you best. Do whatever that gets you going because we live in a world of endless possibilities; possibilities we can grasp to get what we want. Your destiny awaits you.

Seniors Last SemesterBy: Brianna White

Alright Bulldogs, we got through the first semester, now we’re on the running stretch home! For underclassman,

the second semester is just a step closer to summer, but for seniors it’s one of the biggest turning points in their lives. As college admissions, military decisions, and job interviews start to become more prevalent, choices being made are truly significant and have an effect on your entire future.

Whether you’re staying in town or leaving after high school, this is definitely going to be a huge change in

your lives. As Graduation begins to creep up on us, senioritis has begun to overcome most of us. The thought of moving on from Hemet High leaves some of us feeling a little sad, but to other seniors, it’s joyful.

These last four years of hard work and dedication begin to reflect as graduation

grows nearer and the thought of receiving our diplomas becomes overwhelming. This last semester will fly by, and is with so many exciting things like Prom, Grad-Night, Senior Bar be que, Fun in the Moon, maybe Winter Fresh, BOTS, and Senior Movie Night. As you can see, it’ll be an awesome last semester, and to top it off, you’ll be graduating! Don’t slack off, work hard, and see you at the Bowl in May!

Make money,

but the money

you make

doesn’t make

Useless JobsBy John Smith

With graduation a few seconds away it’s about time you lazy seniors thought about going to work. Now a job is a job and any paycheck could support a single person, but some jobs are horribly useless. While watching TV and going to stores I constantly notice how many stupid jobs there are. Over the past month I’ve comprised a list of the most useless jobs from ten to one. Number 10. Pet Food TestersI don’t know who would want to do this, but I do know why they do it. Pet food isn’t made to taste good, it’s made to give your dog or cat the nutrition they need, but pet food testers check the taste anyway. I’ve seen my dog eat a dead possum. Number 9. Odor JudgesOdor Judges test the strength of certain odors and have a very keen sense of smell. They’re paid to smell people’s armpits and gas bombs. Number 8. Foley ArtistsFoley artists are fake artists. But they make sound effects. Like with cans and sticks and their mouths. They’re just stuck in the past. Number 7. Mediums/PsychicsIf being really vague and asking questions that apply to everyone is a mystic talent than maybe we’re all secretly wizards. You can’t see through glass! What are you staring at?

Number 6. Sign SpinnersAdvertisement is important but sign spinning is just stupid. Just put up a sign for your restaurant. If you’re a lawyer buy a bench. Number 5. Pro Wrestling RefereesPeople who watch wrestling aren’t the most socially accepted of individuals, but the refs are even less popular. Imagine being paid to get fake DDT’d by JOHN CENA!!! and getting no recognition for it. Number 4. Travel AgentsJust talk to Bill Shatner and use Priceline. Number 3. CompositorsBetween 1892 and 1970, before the invention of the Mac, Composing Machines, or Linotype Machines, were used to print things using letterpresses. After having just read the sentence above I’m sure you’re fully aware of their operators usefulness. Number 2. Best Buy EmployeesNow, like Guitar Center, Best Buy is a cool store to visit when you’re bored. But the Geek Squad has even been labeled useless by the Best Buy staff.Number 1. Kids on Children ShowsIf you want to embarrass yourself daily, ensure the fact that you’ll never find professional work again, and eventually go psychotic and twerk naked on a wrecking ball while your fan base only grows and grows, become a child star! Or just hang on to your sanity.

Graduation 2016By Hailey Jacobson

Well it’s getting to look a lot like that time of the year again. You guessed it, graduation. This time every

year we start getting ready to say goodbye to all of our friends who are getting ready to move onto the next chapter of their lives. It’s not going to be easy but we are going to have to start getting ready to let this year’s batch of seniors

go.

This year’s graduation will be on Wednesday, May 25, in the Ramona Bowl Amphitheater, and seniors are going

to be starting graduation practice very soon and will be getting ready to check out from their last day of school on May 19th. The seniors that I have been able to talk to have all said in their own words that they are very scared to graduate but excited at the same time because they are getting to start a new chapter in their lives. Good luck Seniors! You will be

missed!

Stuart LittleBy Aryanna Hernandez

The stage adoption of Stuart Little, the classic children’s novel (and the 1999 film starring Michael J. Fox, but

who even remembers that? TBH) by E. B. White, author of Trumpet of the Swan and Charlotte’s Web, was performed by the Children’s Theatre department and directed by Mr. Cherland and Jaymee Epperson (one of the leading ladies for This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing).

The show (narrated by Cara Bagley) stars Taytumn Bush as the title character himself, a mouse born to

the human family of Mr. and Mrs. Little (Evan Wallace and Carly Grider), and their son, George (Johnny Perez). The play follows Stuart and his adventures in the city of New York, as he navigates through situations involving being terrorized by a sneaky cat named Snowbell (Kelsey Bohannon), competing in a boat racing contest, falling in love with a little bird named Margalo (Indah Rekoske), and seeking his fortune.

The play was the last overall theatre production of the school year. The show, concluding this year’s previous

acts of This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing, Robin Hood, and The Music Man, was first performed for an elementary school audience Thursday, April 21st during school hours. This year has gone exceptionally well (a special shout-out goes to The Music Man, which had one of the biggest turnouts Hemet High’s Theatre Department has seen in a while), and theatre encourages all of our B u l l d o g s to support theatre as well we did this year.

Every Fifteen MinutesBy Austin Pierce

The 28th of April was a day of horror for the students, a fatal car accident caused by Evan Wallace occurred

to the side of the track field in the street at roughly 9:30 AM. There were varied casualties, and Evan was arrested for DUI and Manslaughter. Megan Graham reported the incident, and the police arrived in a quick timely fashion. We are devastated that such a tragedy could happen near our school grounds with so many of our students involved.

We all know this didn’t really occur, but it was a presentation by Every Fifteen Minutes, a public

service group in our city. They showed us how tragic this kind of event could be, and we saw the gore and horror that comes with such a huge mistake. Drinking and driving puts everyone at risk, you, your passenger, and anyone on the road. This and the following assembly promptly promoted safety and the wisdom to choose not to follow this kind of path. Remember Bulldog’s, stay safe, don’t drink and drive.

May the FourthBy John Smith

As everybody knows, the second best holiday of the year is 5/4, May the Fourth, known as the day dedicated to

Star Wars. Like may the fourth be with you. Get it?

It’s a day dedicated to dressing up like storm troopers, and Darth

Vaders, or Yodas. But the tradition of the celebration originated in Britain and didn’t really have anything to do with Star Wars. In 1979, Margaret Thatcher was congratulated on becoming the first ever-female Prime Minister of Britain by the London Evening News with a half page ad that stated,

Video Game Collecting By Austin Pierce

Hobbies are serious business, you know, from stamp collecting to scrap booking; everyone has an activity

they do in their spare time. Mine is a special collection, a library of video games! Now that may sound childish or downright pathetic, but it’s serious. Video Games are a medium of art, which has evolved over years of hard effort, and taking in the landmarks of these achievements is an extremely important reach of knowledge.

My “retro” collection extends from GameCube back to PS1, mine’s pretty small though! It’s not nearly as

huge as say, James Rolfe (The Angry Video Game Nerd). My consoles go from PS4 to Gameboy Color, though again, it’s not a thorough collection. I’m sure there are many people in this school with a much better collection! There are many resources for getting games, such as Gamestop for the newest hit releases, A & A games

down in Murrieta for young retros, or eBay for some great deals on hard to find collectables. But this is an expensive pastime mind you, new games go for sixty dollars and retro games can go from a penny to over a thousand, depending on the game and condition of it of course.

Even with the setbacks, and the negative view of this

medium, I’m still proud to say I’m collecting art incarnate and am enjoying myself while doing it. Don’t be afraid to share your pastime, and don’t be afraid to collect!

“May The Fourth Be With You, Maggie. Congratulations.” That was two years after Episode four came out with the popular phrase “May the force be with you”. So ever since, May the Fourth has been known as Star Wars day. And by

2012, the term got so popular that May Fifth, the day after, became Revenge of the Fifth.

In 2012 Disney bought Lucasarts and the rights to Star Wars, so in

2013 Disney accepted the holiday with several Star Wars events and festivities at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Even the astronauts on the international space station celebrated May the Fourth by watching Star Wars. Delta Luggage Tracking System

By: Madison Loomis

We all know the feeling of waiting at baggage claim after a long day’s worth of flying and you can’t seem

to find your suitcase. Maybe you have another connecting flight in 20 minutes and you are informed that your luggage has been lost. You’re now waiting hours on end in a airport maybe rescheduling flights or just wanting to get in your car and go home, but instead you play the waiting game. Well this summer you may want to consider Delta Airlines for any future trips!

Thursday, April 28, 2016 Delta announced their big plan which uses technology that’s been around

for a while called radio frequency identification, aka RFID to track our luggage. By the end of August, the world’s second largest airline will be placing paper RFID tags on passengers’ bags at 344 airports. This is big news for the airline industry and will definitely bring some competition to other companies. This idea couldn’t be any more convenient and efficient and will hopefully solve the lost luggage issues for good!

May on ITunesBy Brianna White

With the new album release, Beyoncé’s of gave viewers a lot to process Saturday night when she released

“Lemonade.” The “visual album,” which aired on HBO, features videos for 12 of the 13 songs on her new album. It was a dreamy and powerful mix of visuals, spoken word, confessions and lyrics. Add to that themes of love, betrayal, empowerment, tribalism and family, and it was enough to make heads spin. Over on the Internet, the struggle has been real as folks try to sort it all out. They have their own ideas on which the album was based upon; denial, isolation, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance

The death of Prince has also been blowing up the ITunes chart as people try to commemorate him and his

memorable music that we all know and love. The news of Prince’s death triggered reactions from around the world. Makeshift memorials were created in Minnesota, London, New York, Sydney, Berlin, and other cities in countries where Prince had toured; sales of his albums and singles saw a significant increase in the following days. Many commentators noted Prince’s impact on music, fashion and culture and wrote of his status as one of the more influential musical artists, while numerous musicians and public figures also expressed their grief and shock.

SENIOR CLASS OF 2017By Keely McMacken & Luis Blanco

Howdy to the future senior class of 2017! I’m sorry to be the bear of bad news but we have a few things to not look

forward to this upcoming year. First off, we will have to have a semi full schedule of classes. Instead of the usual required 4 classes, we are now required to have 5 classes. So that means we have to come back to school after lunch no matter what. On the other hand, we may or may not be banned from our battle of the sexes assembly next year. Due to the amount of vandalism and unnecessary activities, we may not be having battle of the sexes to the extent we have in previous years, or even at all.

Yes, there may be certain things canceled in the next school year but that doesn’t mean we can’t make the best out of

it! We still have the little senior activities such as senior BBQ’s, Grad Night, Senior Auction, Senior Movie Night, Prom of course, and more! Not only we have those to look forward to but the most important one of all, graduation. Battle of the Sexes may not occur---not completely confirmed but a possibility of cancellation--- but it’s not the end of the world. Maybe it’s

time for a change; out with the old, in with the new. I believe senior year is not only your last and most spectacular time of high school but a time to pull your self together. And of course, how do we pay for all the expenses? A J.O.B. (ugh, I know). Unfortunately, our parents can’t pay everything for us and doing nothing isn’t the way to go. There will be a time in our life---very very soon time---when we’ve got no one but our-selves to depend on. Preparation for the real world. It’s scary to think how grown we are; escaping reality seems like the best plan at the moment but we all can’t stay in Wonderland forever. Don’t be scared of what’s ahead of you because running away is not going to get you anywhere. Face and deal with what’s to come and exhale the craziness. Make your senior year last while it can, future seniors!
