Transcript of Helping Others Pursue Education -...
BACKGROUNDPastor Chris Ritter had a vision of helping students in Guinea after visiting the school in Diecke and seeing children who could not afford an education gather at windows to listen to the lessons.
Pastor James Labala from Liberia visited in early July and gave our church a wonderful message through which the Holy Spirit lead over 75 people to return response cards with interest in providing scholarships to children at the Diecke school.
H.O.P.E. In Guinea was conceived. Helping Others Pursue Education has the goal of helping more students receive an education at the Diecke United Methodist School in Guinea. We are inspired by Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans for you, says the Lord...to give you a future and a hope.

Providing Scholarships for Youth in Guinea
Helping OthersPursueEducation
Guinea has a large Muslim population (over 85%) therefore this United Methodist school is truly on the Christian frontier introducing the youth of this country to Jesus Christ. This school was established in 1994 by Liberian United Methodist refugees from the civil war to serve the education needs of refugee children ... from devastation comes HOPE. The Diecke School had an enrollment of almost 890 students last year.
