HELPING KIDS SUCCEED THROUGH MUSIC
HELPING KIDS SUCCEED THROUGH MUSIC
Emmanuel, sa xophone & choir
For 17 years, kids from high-risk neighbourhoods have studied music at Regent Park School of Music. Thanks to our most generous friends this year 1,400 kids across Toronto are blossoming through music.
RPSM students are unique, and our goal is two-fold: to give them a quality music education and to help them succeed. Inspiring, engaging and giving them a sense of belonging, choice and accomplishment is foremost in the minds of our 80 music faculty working in high-risk neighbourhoods across Toronto. Unlike any other music school in the city, the kids have a choice of a mix of private, ensembles, and small and large group music lessons and once-in-a-lifetime performance opportunities, to help build their confidence and self-esteem.
Something very special is happening here at RPSM—on stage the kids learn to sing, play and perform, but back stage we are building their character and raising their sights. Year after year we watch students develop, flourish, graduate from high school and go on to college and university.
On behalf of everyone at RPSM, we sincerely thank you for investing in these remarkable children, building a great community and for making Toronto a better place.
