The R&D and spring manufacturing process begins with intense research into the design of the stock suspension components. Ride heights, spring rates, spring lengths, and other attributes are all carefully measured to determine the optimal configuration for the new lowering springs. Beginning with the highest quality spring steel available, Vogtland carefully measures and tests our raw materials to make certain they meet strict guidelines. CHROME SILICON ALLOY

VOGTLAND sport springs are produced with special oil tempered or induction heated steels of high tensile strength chrome silicon (CrSi) and chrome silicon vanadium (CrSiV) alloys using the cold coiling process.

This provides reduced spring weight with high material strength, effectively reducing the unsprung weight of the vehicle for improved handling and performance.

ELECTRONIC LOWERING SYSTEMS

HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE COIL OVER KITS

VOGTLAND‘s non-damping height adjustable coil-over kits are specially designed to fine tune your vehicle‘s ride height.

Through the utilization of full threaded bodies and a twin tube damper to control the custom higher spring rates, the sprung and unsprung mass of the vehicle is properly controlled to provide greater drivability and confidence when behind the wheel. Height adjustments on VOGTLAND coilovers vary from 0.75 inch to 3.25 inches.

FORCE ADJUSTABLE COIL OVER KITS

VOGTLAND‘s damping and height adjustable coil-over kits redefine high performance suspension.

By combining an externally rebound adjustable shock with a fully threaded body, VOGTLAND offers the driver the ability to fine tune the suspension for the track or street while main-taining drivability and comfort! All coilover kits are equipped with specifically designed,VOGTLAND manufactured „VVS“ alloy high quality springs. Height adjustments on VOGTLAND coilovers vary from 0.75 inch to 3.25 inches.

ELECTRONIC LOWERING SYSTEMS “ELS“

Lowering module for air suspension.The suspension specialist VOGTLAND expands its product portfolio with the Electronic Lowering System.

With the module VOGTLAND provides electronic chassis tuning for vehicles that are factory- equipped with air suspension or with ABC active suspension system. With the VOGTLAND lowering module, you achieve a lowering by up to 1.6 inches. This will provide a sporty performance and driving dynamics as well as an optimization of driving safety.

The standard adjustment option via switch or menu remains fully functional. The module is quickly and easily installed and can therefore, be uninstalled and put back to OEM settings easily as well.

CLUB LOWERING SUSPENSION KITS

The VOGTLAND sport suspension kit is a complete solution for your car’s suspension requirements.

The sport suspension kit uses our trusted sport springs and the best shock absorbers to provide an answer for all your vehicle’s suspension short-comings. By increasing driver feedback, reducing brake dive and body roll, and decreasing vehicle ride height.

The VOGTLAND sport suspension kit improves the look of your vehicle and adds stability to increase your confidence when behind the wheel. The damper characteristic and spring rates were optimized to function as a package. The shocks are either high or low pressure gas and are selected for each individual application, typically providing a 10 - 15 % increase in force.

SPORT LOWERING SPRINGS

VOGTLAND sport springs are manufactured in Germany and provide multifaceted improve- ments for your vehicles suspension.

The comprehensive design generates a better overall appearance while making a significant improvement in performance. The compound spring rate allows for comfortable ride quality under normal driving conditions while providing maximum performance when being pushed to the limit.

Derived from racing, the VOGTLAND compound spring consists of two different spring rates. The initial rate provides the proper preload necessary for proper suspension function during all road conditions and the final rate is designed to provide the appropriate vehicle balance for neutral steering characteristics. Each spring is calibrated for every specific car model and provides a balance between performance and comfort. You can visually and physically experience your car in a whole new way.

VOGTLAND Autosport develops and produces premium high quality aftermarket suspension products such as lowering springs, sport suspension kits, and height adjustable kits. The core competence of the VDF FEDERN-Group are industrial springs and springs for automotive applications. These high quality products are produced at our plant headquarters in Hagen, Germany.

VOGTLAND North America supports the North American market. We have integrated over 100 years of our long standing tradition of spring making with the most current spring manufacturing technologies. Our diverse manufacturing capabilities, production lines, and efficiencies, allow us to produce both low and high volume products for our customers.

TECHNICAL CENTER

Our technicians are reviewing the OE spring and suspension components, we are able to create specific suspension components for each application by enhancing and refining the factory components.

We tailor the ride height to ensure that the vehicle provides a lowered and aggressive appe-arance, yet still maintains the appropriate ride height for the suspension to function properly. Finally, our engineers perform and document all quality checks and prepare the TÜV homologation for its approval.

Our springs are developed to work with the stock shock absorbers. However, they can also be combined with any quality brandname sport shock absorbers presently available on the market. Our complete suspension kits come with preselected shock absorbers specifically paired to work with our lowering springs to provide the most balanced suspension possible for your vehicle. VOGTLAND applies its years of experience in spring engineering to achieve spring designs that yield the look that you want, without sacrificing the dynamics or proper suspension geometry of the vehicle.

PRODUCTION

VOGTLAND sport springs are produced using special oil tempered spring steels of high tensile strength chrome silicon (CrSi) and chrome silicon vanadium (CrSiV) alloys using the cold coiling process. This provides reduced spring weight with high material strength, effectively reducing the unsprung weight of the vehicle and optimizing handling characteristics.

After the cold coiling process, all suspension springs are tempered, shotpeened, and preset to ensure consistent vehicle ride height and suspension function.

Low grade products will lose height due to high impact; however, VOGLAND springs are guaran-teed to maintain their factory settings because of our sophisticated presetting program. Finally the springs are phosphated and powder coated to ensure a superior corrosion barrier for years of service.

COMPANY HISTORY

1908June 3rd - 40 year old locksmith Bernhard Vogtland starts the company in a garage in Hohenlimburg, Germany. He begins by manufac-turing springs for the toys as well as equestrian applications such as driveline harnesses.

192315 years later through the addition of partners the company becomes “United Wire- and Springs Factory Vogtland & Riepelmeier”. They open a new building “Im Weinhof”. The engineering and machinery industry became an important customer group.

193411 years after the first significant expansion, the company changes its location once again to the Elsey district. The sole owner Paul Vogtland senior boosts the export quota up to 35%. At this time, most of the business consists of supporting the agricultural equipment and mining industry.

1958The company’s 50th anniversary is marked with the addition of a new and modern administration building and the expansion of the spring produc-tion plants. With a current staff of 130 personnel, Vogtland hits the capacity of one million springs per day. Springs with special alloy and chrome- vanadium wire begin early development.

1961-196823 year old Paul Vogtland Jr. joins the company and assumes the role of company general management in 1966. Paul Vogtland Jr. expands the factory and moves to its first new location in 33 years. Construction begins in Alemannenweg which becomes the company’s headquarters. The new building is completed and the company moves to its new location on Vogtland’s 60th anniversary.

1974-1986The manufacturing plant is expanded along with the warehouse, and a second manufacturing plant goes into construction in Gotenweg.

1989-1991December 1989- The company name is officially changed to VDF VOGTLAND GmbH, removing the name Riepelmeier 55 years after his retirement. February 1st - At 21 years old, Christoph Vogtland joins the company and founds the brand VOGTLAND for the production of aftermarket suspension components. At this time an additional high rack warehouse is built in Alemanneweg.

1992-1993October 1st, 1992 - Paul-Bernd joins the company and becomes general manager at 27 years old. On May 6th Christoph Vogtland, the esteemed suspension division manager, passes away. A short time later on June 13th Paul Vogtland sr. also passes.

1994-1995With the foundation of the subsidiary company VOGTLAND Agropruziny spol. S.r.o. the comple-te production of tine springs for the agriculture aftermarket to Czechia. November of 1994 marks the takeover of the Engelbrecht & Roos small spring factory in Wuppertal. Martin Vogtland joins the company at 25 years old on January 1 st, 1995; he becomes general manager two years later.

2001VOGTLAND North America, Inc. is founded as Vogtland opens a sales and distribution office to serve the North American markets. VOGTLAND enters the racing market and becomes a key supplier to the top NASCAR teams.

2005VOGTLAND acquires the spring factory RENZING GmbH with 50 employees. The group of companies continues its growth with four modern locations.

2008100 years of tradition, innovation, passion and driving exitment all made in Germany. The spring technology group is now positioned under the new logo VDF Federn. Presently the current production range includes compression springs, axel springs, tension springs, leg springs, formed and stamped parts assemblies and components. The suspension product lines encompass lowering springs, adjustable suspension kits and racing springs.

PresentVOGTLAND North America is located in Teme-cula California and supports the North Ameri-can market. Our North American operation has established VOGTLAND as a leading supplier to the NASCAR racing circuit with our leading edge “VVS” spring technology. Additionally we support small OE programs as well as Tuners. At VOGTLAND, we have focused on providing premium quality aftermarket high performance suspension, OE automotive and industrial springs.

VOGTLAND North America Limited Warranty

Limited WarrantyVOGTLAND North America warrants its line of performance springs to the original retail purchaser (also referred to as “consumer” herein) for a period of 10 years commencing at time of retail purchase. Suspension products (shock absorbers) will carry a 2 (two) year warranty. This Limited Warranty cannot be transferred to another individual or entity and is limited to protection against material defects or workmanship when the product(s) is/are appropriately installed by a qualified and licensed automotive mechanic trained in suspension component installation and repair in a normal passenger vehicle application for which the product is intended by VOGTLAND North America to be used. Associated ancillary components such as brackets, hardware, bushing/Noise Vibration Harshness isolation products are limited to and covered under a 12 month warranty for material defects and workmanship for a period of 12 months commencing at the time of purchase.

Warranty ExclusionsBy way of illustration and not limitation, items not covered under the terms of the above-described Limited Life Time Warranty include cosmetic finish on coated surfaces and paint/coating retention; any product(s) which have not been installed by a qualified and/or licensed automotive mechanic/technician trained in suspension component installation and repair; any product which has been abused, altered, modified, or installed in an application for which the product was not intended and/or designed by VOGTLAND North America, Inc; and/or any product which has been subjected to an accident or collision. All warranties are null and void if the product(s) has been used in an off-road activity (i.e. high speed driving event, racing, rallying etc.).

Entire Limited Warranty Set Forth HereinThis Limited Warranty sets forth VOGTLAND North America’s entire and only Limited Warranty and may not be modified or supplemented by any other person or company whether in writing or in oral statements. Any description of the product(s) made in connection with this warranty is for the sole purpose of identifying them, is not part of the basis of the bargain, and does not constitute a warranty that the product(s) will conform to that description. The use of any sample or model in connection with this warranty or the sales of any product(s) is for illustrative purposes only and is not to be construed as a warranty that the goods will conform to sample or model. The oral statements of any salesperson do not constitute part of this warranty at all and shall not be relied upon by the consumer.

Forum for DisputesAny lawsuit or other legal action alleging breach of this Limited Warranty or otherwise commenced to enforce VOGTLAND North America’s obligations under the terms of this Limited Warranty shall be brought only in the courts of Riverside County, California. Changes in Design, Materials, and SpecificationsVOGTLAND North America reserves the right to make changes in design, materials, and specifications as deemed necessary without prior notice. The design of the product maybe changed or altered at VOGTLAND North America’s discretion without assuming any obligation to modify any pro-duct(s) previously manufactured. A product(s) may also be discontinued at VOGTLAND North America’s discretion without assuming any obligation to replace parts under said warranty.

Submission of Limited Warranty ClaimsClaim procedure under the warranty requires that the consumer contact the merchant where the product(s) was originally purchased. The merchant will then request a “Return Goods Authorization Number” (“RGA”) from VOGTLAND North America which in turn will issue a RGA number and will accept return of the product(s) in question to VOGTLAND North America, Inc. for inspection and warranty claim validity. A copy of the “VOGTLAND North America Product Registration Form” and a proof of purchase must accompany the returned product(s) in question. The Consumer is respon-sible for all costs incurred in returning the product(s) to VOGTLAND North America, Inc.’s facilities. These include the installation and removal of the product(s) from the vehicle, the shipping and handling of said product(s), loss of time or revenue, loss of use of the vehicle, and any other type of incidental, indirect or consequential damages. Please note any product(s) sent without following the above procedures will not be accepted under the terms of this warranty and will be refused.Upon verification of defective product(s) under the warranty statement VOGTLAND North America, Inc., at its discretion will either repair or replace the defective product(s), without charge to the consumer, all refunds and or product credits will be issued by the merchant where the product(s) was originally purchased. Distributor Warranty Return ProceduresPhone or Fax the VOGTLAND Warranty Department for a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number. Return unit(s) in question along with (1) customer’s dated proof of purchase, (2) a copy of the vehicle information (make, model, year, VIN #, options, and any modifications which might affect the vehicles curb weight, (3) customers product registration form and contact information (name, address, daytime phone number), (4) detailed description of the problem. Returned product should be accompanied by all springs or shocks and mounting hardware if applicable. Returned units must be shipped freight prepaid to the attention of VOGTLAND Warranty Dept. The RGA number shall be clearly marked on the outside of the package. Upon determination of a valid warranty claim, VOGTLAND will replace or credit at its discretion. Items returned to VOGTLAND without an RGA number and or freight collect will be refused.

IMPORTANT PRODUCT INFORMATION

VOGTLAND designs its suspension kits with the principle of balance in mind. The values we give for the approximate lowering of a vehicle are based on the changes made to the vehicle when it is in new and fully stock condition. When measuring the ride height of the vehicle, it is always necessary to take factors such as the exact measuring points used, size of the wheels and tires, fuel tank level, and shock absorber condition. Because there are a number of factors which influence the degree of lowering to the vehicle, specific ride height after product application is not covered under warranty. VOGTLAND supplies suspension systems for a number of different vehicle models, some of which are very similar to one another. If you install and use VOGTLAND suspension systems not specially designed for your vehicle model, this could cause property damage and physical injury. This also applies to non-approved combinations of wheels and tires (although generally our suspension sets are permitted for all combinations of wheels and tires approved by the manufacturer). Therefore, please pay close attention to the information in our model lists and general operating licenses. If you are unsure of any of these factors; please contact your dealer or a qualified shop to answer any questions you may have. Making modifications to any VOGTLAND product is dangerous. Any modification to the suspension parts will automatically render all claims against the manufacturer invalid and void any warranty. VOGTLAND products are manufactured and tested under constant quality assurance. In spite of this, any product can be damaged under certain circumstances. Please observe the following instructions to prevent damage. Avoid excessive loading by not exceeding the axle loads specified by the manufacturer. Avoid aggressive driving maneuvers that place excessive load on the material such as races, off-road trips, etc. Lastly, be sure to adjust your speed to traffic conditions.

INSTALLATION INFORMATION

It may be hazardous to install or disassemble chassis components because suspension systems are under pressure. Therefore, improper handling may cause injury to life and limb along with property damage. Therefore, a certified technician shall install such products as they have the proper training, knowledge, and tools to complete the job safely. In addition to that, the car must to be on a lifting platform every time it is installed or disassembled. Note: it is not permissible to install any suspension components using jacks. After completing installation, please ensure that all parts are installed according to the assembly instructions and have been checked at least twice. Defective parts should always be replaced. Do not exceed the permissible axle loads specified in the certificate for VOGTLAND suspension components. Lastly, please check the part numbers to ensure that you as the customer have received the product intended for your vehicle. Please make the following checks and readjust if necessary after installation or disassembly. Note: not observing these testing and regulating rules may result in system conditions being lost and therefore serious damage for which we cannot assume any liability. • combination of wheels and tires moves smoothly • tread and axle adjustment • brake and level equalization systems and their regulating systems • headlight adjustment • shock absorber test (only if shock absorbers are used that are not new) • sufficient preliminary tension on the springs after installation
