Housekeeping changes I planned to do
These are the things I set out to change/update at the beginning of the year:
Review our club’s annual activities Update the Bylaws and Constitution Update the club’s brochure Reinstate the weekly Membership Matters newsletter
Create guest speaker information sheets Create appreciation certificates Update the make-up sheet Get 24/24 CRCs done; 14/24 got done
Unplanned Changes
Changed from lunch meeting to a breakfast meeting to a coffee meeting
Changed locations from the Coast Hotel to the Crest Hotel

Projects
Apple Program as of June 8, 2009
$11,704 was spent which equates to 308 boxes
That’s 34,804 apples for 2380 students!
That averages to 14.62 apples for every student in Prince Rupert and Port Edward!
Projects
Backpack Program
Along with the Salvation Army, 350 backpacks were distributed in Prince Rupert and Port Edward.
350 packs for 1287 elementary school kids
That’s 1 pack for every 3.68 students or 27%!
Projects
Gaming donations included:
– Canada World Youth– Salvation Army– PRSS– Halloween Fest– Udder Theatre Festival– Kid’s Help Line– Canadian Cancer Society– BC Arts– Student Support– Great Blue Heron Project
For a total of $9,984
International Projects
Water Project in Lege Tafo, Ethiopia - $2,000 was contributed to the water project.
Neurosurgical Hospital Bed for the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Ghana. Our club contributed $1250 towards this Matching Grant project.
