Hebrews 10.23-25

The Power of Joy in the New Testament

Because of authentic relationships – there was incredible joy!

32 But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, 33 sometimes being publicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated.

Hebrews 10.32-33

34 For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one. 35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.

Hebrews 10.34-35

For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.

Hebrews 10.36

1 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.

Let’s change our focus from

maintenance to mission.

We should be optimistic about

impacting the lost!

We must work on knowing each other.

As we encourage each other, joy will

be the result.

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
