If the heat comes from a large area of ceiling, convection is reduced and most of the heat is then radiated. This prevents wasteful heat stratification associated with convection of warm air, typical of tradi- tional heating systems, and provides comfort at lower room temperatures, thereby saving significant amounts of energy. In fact a radiant heating system may easily use 25% less energy than a traditional system when all savings are added up. T he ILO Cassettes are made of an aluminium frame in which is glued a heating film. Only ILO Cassettes are equipped with an white aluminium heating surface, increasing up to 20% the emission of radiant heat. Thermal insulation prevents any heat loss on the top. The ILO Cassettes are fixed to the ceiling either by chains, screws or wires,... suitable for the ceiling. I LO Cassette Heating responds instantly to demand - There is no need to preheat a room. Simply switch on and you feel the warmth imediately. Comfort levels are high - It is the natural form of heat for humans.
