PROCESSING LINE FOR PRODUCTION OF MINERAL
BASALT WOOL
Technical specification
Mineral wool plates (insulation materials) designed for thermal and sound insulation.
The main raw materials are rock formations like basalt, dolomite, if necessary blast furnace slag is applied, which is used as an impurity.
Solution of phenol - formaldehyde resins with additives are used to connect the separate fibres in mineral wool, to provide hydrophobic
properties and join microscopic dust.
The design line capacity is 6 tons of finished products / hour at 4shift schedule of continuous operation. The line is stopped for its
inspection, adjustment and minor repairs on 1 day after every 10 days of continuous operation. Once a year in summer, the line is
stopped for preventive maintenance for 14 days. Guaranteed line capacity is 30 000 tonnes of finished products per year at the annual
fund of working time equal to 7220 hours.

PROCESSING LINE FOR PRODUCTION OF LAYERED (SANDWICH) PANELS
1. The line is designed for production of layered (sandwich) panels. The input line material is an insulating material (mineral
wool), steel sheets with the relevant surface treatment and glue. During the process the steel sheets are glued to the insulation
lining (mineral wool) resulting in unfinished tape of sandwich panels, which is sawed into parts with the required dimensions in
length.
