Mountain Day March and Olympics 2021
HEALTHY TOGETHER October has arrived, the weather is turning cooler and fall break is 10 days away. Aswe begin the 7th week of classes, we are delighted and relieved to see evidence thatthe COVID threat is beginning to wane. All of us hope that we will soon be able to relaxsome of our mitigation measures.
With that goal in mind, however, please understand that Berry’s choices may beconstrained by decisions being made nationally. President Biden has recently issuedtwo Executive Orders requiring employers, including Berry, to mandate vaccines orongoing testing for all unvaccinated employees. Student workers at Berry are likelyincluded in this mandate.
We are waiting for details regarding these Executive Orders and potential legalchallenges. Meanwhile, NCAA testing requirements for student-athletes will probablycontinue. We will keep you informed about these matters in coming weeks.
