Healthy Smoothies Carrot Cake Greenies! Loaded with vitamins, fiber, and energy packed with carbs!! Carrot Cake Green Smoothie Makes 2 servings (I usually save on for lunch...unless my 2 year old steals it! lol) 3 Medium carrots shredded 1C Filtered water 2C Almond milk 2 small bananas (I slice and freeze them for a nice icy consistency) 1/8C Chopped pecans 1/4C Prunes (adds sweetness and high fiber! Can sub dates) 3C Spinach 1t Cinnamon 1 Vanilla Optional **1/4C Quinoa or oats (to make it more filling as a meal replacement) Blend carrots and water on high until liquified. Add almond milk, and remaining ingredients. Blend on high then switch to liquify for 3-4 min. Add more water if you like a thinner smoothie. this makes 2 large glasses (about 24oz each) you can save one in the fridge for a snack or lunch! The entire recipe is APPROX 600 cal or 760 cal with quinoa!

Healthy Smoothies

Carrot Cake Green Smoothie

Carmamel Coco Coffee Smoothie

4oz unsweetened almond milksmall container plain or vanilla greek yogurt (5-6oz)1t cocoa1-1 1/2 t instant coffee1/2 t caramel extract (Walmart!)1/2 t vanilla1C spinach1-2T chia seedsStevia to tasteIce

In blender mix milk and spinach on high until smooth. Add all ingredients except ice and blend until smooth. Add ice and blend again! Enjoy

Chunky Monkey Greenie

makes 1-24oz serving at about 415 calories (if not a meal, oats can be omitted for less calories)

in a blender add:8oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk (loaded with calcium)2C spinach (packed with iron, calcium and vitamins)1/4C oats (whole grain energy!)

Blend on high. With blender on high carefully add next ingredients one by one:

2T ground flax (omega 3s!)1T chia seeds (major antioxidants and fiber)1T natural peanut butter (protein!)1/2T dark cocao powder (antioxidants!)2 scoop all natural choco protein powder 1t vanilla (awesome flavor!)1C frozen sliced bananas (potassium, good energy packed carbs)A few ice cubes optional

Blend for additional 1-2 min and enjoy!

Strawberry Mango Smoothie

Ingredients:1/2 C plain Greek yogurt1/2 C orange juice1 1/2 C strawberries1 Cu mango, diced1 C ice

Directions:1. Combine all ingredients in blender

2. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately

No Bake Cookie Protein Smoothie

4 oz unsweetened almond milk Small container vanilla greek yogurt 95-6oz)1/2T cocoa powder2 T PB2 (can use natural peanut butter too just reduce to 1T)1/4C oats (I use my blender to grind them up good before adding to smoothie)2 T ground flaxStevia to taste5-6 ice cubes

In blender mix milk, oats and flax on high until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and blend 1-2 min or until creamy.

Root Beer Float Protein Smoothie

Small container vanilla greek yoguart(if LCing use plain greek and a lil stevia)

4oz unsweetened almond milk1 tsp root beer extract1 tsp vanilla extract4-5 ice cubes slightly crushed

Add all ingredients to blender and mix on high until smooth and creamy

Strawberry-Pear Green Smoothie

Makes 1-24oz serving

1 large ripe pear or 2 small, peeled and cored5 ripe strawberries (I freeze mine)1C unsweetened vanilla almond milk--can sub reg milk, soy, water or even zucchini juice!1/4C raw oats2C spinach1t vanilla1T chia seeds2-3 ice cubes

Blend the milk with spinach and oats on high 2 min until smooth then add remaining ingredients and blend additional 2 min. Enjoy!

Apple Pie Ala SmoothieMakes 1 serving

8oz unsweetened almond milk1 fresh apple washed, cored and chopped OR 1/2C unsweetened applesause (used my homemade applesauce that I froze in ice cube size)1/2C plain greek yogurt1/4t apple pie spice1/4t cinnamon1t vanilla*1T chia seed for added fiber and a slight nutty flavor*1T ground flax for added omegas and the nutty pie crust flavor*1C spinach for added vitamins and no detectable flavor*stevia to taste is using a tart apple

**pears or pear sauce can be subbed for the apples

Add all ingredients to large blender. Mix on high for 2-3 min.

Green Banana SmoothieMakes 2 servings or 1 big serving if your extra hungry

2C cold filtered water4C kale, large stem removed or spinach (or combo)1/2 medium cucumber2T ground golden flax1/2 avocado1 large ripe banana (I like mine sliced and frozen but fresh works too)1t vanilla1/2t cinnamonstevia to tasteOptional: 1T cocoa for a chocolatey treat

In blender, mix water and greens til blended well. Add cucumber, blend. Add avocado, banana, flax, vanilla, and cinn. and stevia (also cocoa if you choose) Blend well on high.

Apple Pie Stinger

(makes 1-16oz serving)

1 apple juiced (if juicer is not available use 4oz 100% apple juice no sugar added if possible)

1" ginger juiced (or sub 1/8 t ground ginger)dash of cinnamondash of nutmeg

*optional but adds pie flavora few drops of stevia or about 1/2 a packet (more or less to taste; I like mine tart so I only use a drop)

2t organic apply cider vinegar (I use Braggs)8-10 oz filtered water a few ice cubes

Mix all ingredients and enjoy your refreshing cooler
