Before I begin to talk about the main topic which is the Healthy Habits campaign 2020, I would like to use the opportunity to give an update on a few other Employee Foundation related issues. Here is today’s agenda.

Coronavirus – emergency fund

• DKK 6 million to support employees regardless of

seniority, affected by the consequences of the coronavirus.

• 229 grants have been made so far.

• Covid-19 diagnosis

• Private health treatment

• Childcare

• Private tuition

• Covid-19 tests

• Children’s summer camps

• Sessions for employees with doctors, psychologists and other specialist (to learn to deal with coronavirus related issues)

Since March, the Employee Foundation has been able to support employees and employees’ families who are directly or indirectly affected by coronavirus. 229 grants have been made. We continue to support so do not be shy; please come forward with applications which will be handled on a fast track.

We continue to try to be visible and accessible. We now have a Facebook page because Facebook is still a good way to reach both bluecollars and whitecollars in different countries. Facebook has a translation feature which is quite good. PLEASE follow us on FB. Website: Available in DK + UK. However, if you use Chrome as your browser, you have a translation possibility in the top right corner. Try it. If you like it, you can inform your employees. Finally, maybe you have already visited the LOG IN at our website. Here we have collected a lot of practical information which can help the recommendation committees: Deadlines, campaign materials, how to communicate grants etc.

Live a dream

• Postponement of Live a dream - volunteering for a construction project

You may remember that we were excited to launch the possibility for employees to participate one week in a construction project in Romania as volunteers. Due to coronavirus, this has been postponed to 2021. Please do not forget. Now, we have the possibility to prepare even more and make internal “promotion” to employees. We expect deadline for applications for Live a dream – volunteering for a construction project to be in May 2021.

Healthy Habits Campaign – why?

Once again, the Employee Foundation launches a campaign to support our employees’ health and wellbeing. This year, we focus on our physical well-being.

• Promote healthy habits: This year, with focus on physical training

• Create awareness of the Employee Foundation

• Contribute to a feeling of pride of being part of the VKR Group

• Make YOU (local recommendation committees) visible at your location

Now, it is time to inform you about the 3rd Healthy Habits campaign. The Employee Foundation campaigns are about proactive ways to improve our well-being. Physical training can be a mean to a good health and well-being. The Healthy Habits campaign also gives us the possibility to create awareness about the foundation, and hopefully, employees will get a feeling of pride of being part of the VKR Grouip. Finally, the process will give the local recommendation committee the possibility to be visible in your company.

Healthy Habits 2020 – What?

1 - Elastic bands and exercises for all employees

All employees will receive a small “training kit” with an elastic band and a small set of exercises to nudge them to exercise at work during a break or at home - or both.

2 - Company activities that support sleep, physical training, diet

In addition to the main campaign with elastic bands, the local recommendation committees can apply for supplemental activities for their locations; projects that support the employees’ health.

The local projects can be talks/seminars/classes/training

This year’s campaign will be in two parts. We will send a small training kit to be distributed to all employees. The training kit consists of an elastic band and a set of training exercises. This is to nudge employees to exercise during breaks or at home – or both. Secondly, we will encourage you to think of and apply for additional internal company projects and activities that support sleep, physical training or diet.

Physical activity can give better health and better quality of life. With a small training effort, you can experience significant physical improvements. �Reduces pain and damage occurrence, and improves mental health. Elastic band exercises: Are for beginners as well as experienced users Do not require much space Many different exercises can be made You can bring the elastic band everywhere and thus maintain your traning Together with the elastic bands, we will send a card with exercises to cover the entire body. Also QR codes to scan with a mobile phone to see videos of the exercises.

Hand out

• Have a gathering (town hall meeting/breakfast) where you introduce the Employee Foundation

campaign and hand out the training kit to all employees

• Let managers distribute them individually to their own teams

• Let the local recommendation committee members walk around the office/factory and hand out

personally

Activation

• Appoint some ambassadors to help activate your colleagues

• Create an after-work event to exercise together

Healthy Habits 2020Company activities

In addition to the main campaign, local recommendation committees can apply for funding of company activities that support employees’ health and physical well-being.

EUR 500-5,000/grant.

Activities within: Sleep, physical training and/or diet.

The activities must be implemented by April 2021.

What can you apply for?Activities that can have a positive effect on your employees’ health. Some ideas for inspiration:

‒ Example 1: Hire an instructor for break training every Tuesday and Thursday for a month. Break training can be 10-15 minutes in 4 different locations of the company in order to allow employees from various departments to participate

‒ Example 2: Invite a popular speaker within e.g. diet, sleep, mindfulness to give a talk (inside or outside working hours)

• The posts can be shared in local Yammer groups (you can find

the global post in the Yammer group ‘News from VELUX One’).

Here is the poster which we will send you in the beginning of October (in DK and UK). You can easily edit in the file if you prefer to translate into another language. Finally, you need to print the poster and hang it in good places. We will also send you suggestions for small intranet text. We will post it globally in VELUX One. For DOVISTA, please make sure to inform in your intranets.
