The Customer Care Specialist must be a fast learner, detail oriented, dependable, and have excellent telephone etiquette. Key Responsibilities: Customer care: Triage incoming customer service phone calls Respond in a calm and professional manner to customer inquiries Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource Promptly respond and follow up on customer interactions Comply with applicable regulations and with corporate policies and procedures Pathology support: Communicate written requests for specimens to pathology laboratories Engage and coordinate with the sales team and other internal employees as needed Data entry: Test order data entry and processing Outreach to healthcare provider offices to obtain any missing information required to complete the other entry process Electronic file maintenance Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably a science degree 2+ years experience in customer service in the healthcare/lab industry preferred Detailed oriented with consistent follow through Demonstrably strong interpersonal, listening, and organizational skills Excellent problem solving skills and effective at overcoming obstacles and mitigating conflicts Exceptional telephone manners and etiquette
