The Jagat Lama movie is coming

 Jagat is driven by a promise he made to his dying father to bring medical care to the village.  At the grand opening celebration, Jagat’s mother is the first patient of many into the Sukman Memorial Polyclinic, named after his father. In 2015, a massive earthquake hits Nepal, leveling the hospital, school and women’s skill center.  Because Kumari is so remote, Jagat and the other trekking guides respond with aid, food and shelter.  Wrestling with the continued challenges, Jagat digs deep and finds the strength to help lead the Kumari recovery.

Jagat Honored in Nepal Over the years Jagat has been honored many times in his country.

June 14, 2019 Kathmandu President of Health and Education Nepal, Jagat Bahadur Gurung, has been honored by the Social Services Lifetime Award. On the occasion of 15th anniversary of the Nepal Group's destination in the capital on Tuesday, the organization has honored Gurung for doing excellent work in social work

Jagat, man of destiny

In July of 2019 Jagat went to Kenya to meet with Dr. Charles Mully (The Mully Movie) On his initial greeting with Dr. Mully he told his story. Dr. Mully was so moved he said, “Jagat, you story inspires me.” For the next several days Dr. Mully took him under his wing and they traveled around Kenya with Dr. Mully showing Jagat his many projects Jagat came back to the USA and told his supports in the US about his plans to start a “Vocational education” program, to ramp up a “Hospitality business” and to expand the agricultural efforts of the Coffee Coop to include a substantial chicken business.
