EDUCATION

1. FREE TECHNICAL/ITI TRAINING TO YOUTHS

59 candidates from affected family have been enrolled

in a Private ITI institute at Tata, candidates arepursuing training in Electrician & Fitter trade.

2. COMPUTER TRAINING FOR FEMALE CHILD

Six months Computer training has been provided freeof cost to 20 female candidates covering in &around villages at Govt. ITI Burudih.

3. SCHOOL BAG DISTRIBUTION

1196 units of school bags distributed among 10 Govt.

sponsored schools in project affected villages.

4. TEACHERS FOR BURUDIH SCHOOL

02 teachers (English – 1, Science – 1) have beensponsored by Abhijeet Foundation to Burudih HighSchool

5. COMPUTER TRAINING FOR PRI MEMBERS

Elected PRI members were provided six months basiccomputer training course at field office Burudih

6. PROMOTING COCURRICULAR ACTIVITY

Drawing competition & other co curricular activities areoften done in schools, Children’s Day, Teacher’s Dayis celebrated & gifts given to boost up morale ofparticipants

7. RENOVATION OF TOILET

Toilet at Burudih school has been renovated,drinking water facility been made available

8. SPORTS MEET IN SCHOOLS

Sports meet are often organized in schools, SmritiDivas was organized & gifts given to boost upmorale of participants Sports kit distributed tocricket players at village Begnadih

9. ADULT LITERACY CLASSES

15 laborers working with Abhijeet Group weretaught to read & write, eventually their Bank A/cwas opened

Facilitation program for District and Block Toppers inJharkhand Academic Counsel Examination 2012along with scholarship scheme for CorporateManpower Employee Services (CMES) ward

02 District toppers awarded with Rs. 10000/- each 04 Block toppers awarded with Rs. 5000/- each 01 girl from CMES ward awarded with scholarshipof Rs. 500/ per month for two years

LIVELIHOOD

Sewing centers opened in 05 villages namely Govindpur, Murup, Mahalimurup, Rengogora and Mahalisai

As an outcome 38 were engaged in self livelihood option, 98 are in current batch and 468 are as potential trainee.

09 hand pumps were installed in program villages which benefitted 596 households

265 hand pumps repaired in 25 villages and benefitted 6625 persons

40 solar lights installed in centre palces of programvillages

9. DEVELOPING FLAG HOISTING PLATFORM

ENVIRONMENT

Around 8000 forest plants were planted at river sidecovering 8 acres with indigenous species such as Kadam(3000), Neem (2000), Mohagini (1000), Sirish (1000), karanj(500) and Bokain (500) to promote the greenery nearby theproject sites.

Greenhouse developed in 540 Sq ft forgerminating sapling work of different forest plants,hedge plants, ornamental plants and seasonal plants

18007 forest palnts, 1105 ornamental plants,15969 hedge plants and plantation for ground coverdone in 2500 sq ft.
