Introduction

Engraving Services Co was established in 1968 as

Number Plate Services Co. The frst facility was located

next door to the old Motor Registry in the Adelaide Railway Station.

In 1973 the business moved to 85 Main North Road Nailsworth and the

name was changed to Engraving Services Co. This change heralded the

new direction of the company and its desire to provide the highest quality

engraving, marking and identifcation services possible.

Computer Engraving

Traditionally Industrial engraving was the domain of Pantograph engravers, larger manual machines

that had pride of place in engraving workshops.These machines are still used throughout the

world and are irreplaceable for a number of heavy duty applications. We continue to practice the

art of Pantograph engraving for specialist jobs. We also have several computer engraving machines

that allow a variety of materials to be engraved. These include: bronze, brass stainless steel, alu-

minium and plastics.

Laser Engraving

Lasers have revolutionised the world of Engraving. The breadth of materials that can be marked or engraved as well as contour cut is enormous. The materials we cut, mark or engrave include, but are not exclusive to, the following: plastics, acrylics, timber, paper, cardboard, leather, fabrics, polyester flms, styrene, nylon, melamine, matte board, fbreglass, kevlar, veneer, polycarbonate, masonite, MDF delrin, carbide, marble, glass, cork, stainless steel, brass, titanium and steel. We can mark the following metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminium, anodised aluminium) with a black indelible mark utilising a specialised conductive paste. This mark is resistant to all but the great-est degree of forced mechanical abrasion, including acids, solvents, heat and cold. Technical data is available upon request. The laser is also used for an enormous amount of promotional prod-ucts. We can laser mark any combination of logos, text and graphics. We can serialize any list or sequence. Including barcodes.

Cylindrical Engraving

Our Engraving machine can accommodate objects up to 10” or 254 mm diameter. We regularly

engrave trophies, cups and a variety or industrial cylinders. Cylindrical engraving allows us to laser

mark a huge variety of promotional parts as well as industrial/engineering parts.

Photo Engraving

Photo Engraving allows a much broader scope of information to be applied to architectural, cor-porate and commercial signs. A more creative approach to civic and historical identifcation is all possible on stainless steel or other metals. Anything from sporting themes to historical photo-

graphs can be photo lasered.

Electrical

Electrical tags, face plates, mech switches and associated equipment are easily engraved in our

modern facility, we

attend to the requirements of single contractors with smaller jobs right through to engraving

100’s to 1000’s of items for the larger manufacturers.

We specialise in control panels for electrical, electronic, aviation, military, telecommunications,

auto and marine uses, the range of products and materials used includes stainless steel, brass,

anodized aluminium, powder coated steel, reverse engraved and front engraved plastics.

Timber Engraving

Timber is perhaps one of the best materials for the laser. Products and services available include:

Inlays, overlays, marquetry, puzzle and game manufacturing, awards and plaques, diplomas, sports

trophies, bats, doll houses, give aways, picture frames, desk accessories and models. The list is

simply endless.
