Account Transferring money to and from your account
To transfer money to your NRE account, you can: Transfer funds from abroad in a freely convertible foreign currency Present foreign currency notes / traveller's cheques brought in by you on your visit t o India Directly remit the amount to us from your overseas bank account Transfer funds from an existing NRE / FCNR Account held in other banks in India
b) The eligibility criteria
Photocopy of the pages of the passport containing passport details and personal details of all applicants
Copy of valid visa / work permit One passport photograph of each applicant One document confirming either the overseas or Indian address. The address on the
document has to match the address mentioned in the application form. You are eligible if you are a Non-Resident individual of Indian nationality or of Indian origin.

Avail of an overdraft facility up to 90%* of your deposit (Maximum overdraft against FCNR Deposit is 70% of FCNR

All NRIs holding an NRI account with HDFC Bank are eligible to open a Super Saver Account. Overdraft Limits:
o Up to* 90% on Fixed Deposit amounto The minimum tenor of the Fixed Deposit should be 1 year in case of NRE/NRO and
FCNR Deposit Accountso The overdraft facility will be granted on the NRO Savings Account and can be repaid
through foreign inward remittances or through local sources
5. SWEEP IN ACCOUNT
a) Features & Benefits
Withdraw only the exact amount you need from your Fixed Deposit Choose between an NRI Savings and Current account for linking Only an exact amount required to make up for the deficit in the Savings account is withdrawn from
your Fixed Deposit (units of Re. 1/-) thereby minimising interest loss. Multiple deposits can be linked to the Savings account. Flexibility in altering the period of deposit, maturity and payment instructions, principal amount and
rollover mode.
b) The eligibility criteria
All NRI account holders are eligible to open the Sweep-In Account. The facility is available against the NRO/NRE Term Deposits and is not available against FCNR
Term Deposits.
