HCT SUMMERSEMESTERS 2016

OverviewIn the summer of 2016 the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) is offering a wide range of exciting and stimulating courses to enable learners of all nationalities from across the UAE to enhance their knowledge and education, or to simply study in new fields. Ultimately, these intensive courses will enable you to explore new horizons.

The HCT Summer Semesters 2016 are open to all post-secondary students enrolled in colleges or universities in the UAE, as well as members of the public interested in expanding their knowledge. The courses will be held at the HCT’s 17 campuses located throughout the Emirates.

Over 300 industry-relevant courses, designed for our fast-paced and technology-enhanced 21st century environment will be held in two semesters:

HCT offers high-quality, practical education through a series of innovative and real-world academic programmes. HCT strives to provide students with an exceptional and holistic learning experience that will enable them to be self-moti-vated, lifelong learners.

The courses will be taught by HCT’s highly qualified and dedicated international teaching faculty, using teaching best practices in state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories.

SUMMER SEMESTER II

HCT’s Summer Semesters 2016 courses are open to:• New High School graduates who have earned a High School certificate during 2016• Current undergraduates at a college/university who would like to study for a summer semester • Other interested learners from the community or industry

Applicants can apply for enrollment in up to two (2) of the credit bearing courses in either summer semester.

In order to be eligible to apply, (in addition to the minimum of a high school certificate or higher) applicants must have the minimum English Language proficiency testing requirement, being IELTS Academic band 5.00, CEPA 180, iBT 62 or TOEFL 500.

The last day to apply for Summer Semester I is May 16, 2016 and the last day to apply for Summer Semester II is June 30, 2016.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If an applicant is a current university or college student, not from HCT, it is the applicant’s responsibility to confirm with his/her home institution to ensure that the courses he/she registers in for Summer Semester I or II will transfer back to the institution where he/she will receive his/her degree.
