Technology improves every day, new developments are constantly infiltrating our lives. The entire healthcare industry is being disrupted by the introduction of new technology that aims to improve the processes in which medical professionals connect with patients.

INTRODUCTION

This study aims to develop a mobile-based application which will provide information about a doctor or a clinic which is near the user in times of emergency.

Locals of Ilocos Norte have little knowledge about the clinics and doctors that are present in their municipality, outside their municipality and within the province. With the insufficiency of medium of disseminating information, they have little knowledge on where to go in times of emergency.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Without knowing the exact location of the clinic of the doctor they needed, they tend to ask to people around them which in turn causes the wasting of time. With this situation, life might be at stake.

This study aims to develop an application that will provide the user a new platform to locate and search for a doctor or a clinic that is near their locations.Specifically, this application aims to: Serve as an instrument for doctors to reach out to wider population in need of their service

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

To provide the shortest path to the clinic near users location To provide an overview of the doctors professional background To provide reviews about the doctors To provide the list of doctors in the province in accordance to their specialization

This study will be focusing on the development of a mobile-based application that will run on android-based mobile device. This will provide information about the doctors and the location of their clinics in Ilocos Norte.SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS

Much of the content will be provided even if user is not connected to the Internet. The map will be only viewed when connected.

For locals, this will serve as a guide for visiting places that are not familiar to them and in case of emergency; this application will help them locate the nearest possible clinic within their area. For doctors and clinics, this will help them render healthcare services and reach out wider population.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

For Ilocos Norte Medical Society, this will help the society extend their services to the people of Ilocos Norte.
