HBS EXECUTES CITY SURVEILLANCE PROJECT SPANNING 11 CITIES IN MADHYA PRADESH

Madhya Pradesh, a large state in central India, with a population of more than 70+ million and total geographic area of 3 lac Sq. Km. has chosen Honeywell Building Solutions to enhance its city-wide Surveillance and security. Madhya Pradesh Police Telecom (Radio) organization provides satisfactory and quick communication to maintain law and order of the state during VVIP visits, elections, key events, natural disaster, and to take action against offenders.

Solution

Honeywell Building Solutions integrated city surveillance

includes implementation across a massive 823 locations

through 11 cities within the state of Madhya Pradesh which

will have a mix of 4200 IP Camera’s, a command and control

room, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera’s,

software’s & servers across 80 locations and surveillance

systems on PCR vans.

The project upon completion would become one of the largest

integrated city surveillance. The offered solutions provides:

1. Complete Command Control Suite (CCS) providing

common operating picture , interactive control, event

correlation, and thematic maps with location analytics,

social intelligence (helps to identify the negative

sentiments raised by social sites) & mobile van surveillance

2. Automatic Number Plate Recognition helping

identification of suspected vehicles and raise alarms to also

monitor & identify vehicles by color

3. Face Recognition System: this would integrate with

Police Criminal Database having blacklisted and white

listed persons as a result would allow to identify Criminals

and VIP’s.

4. The system is also capable of doing Forensic Searches

for fast identification raised by analytics system which is

one of the prime requirement of city policing and crime

monitoring.

Business OutcomeThe partnership would help Madhya Pradesh Police Telecom

(Radio) implement latest surveillance technology solution

to monitor its citizens through strategically placed sensors

around the urban landscape, collect data regarding many

different factors of urban living, transmit, aggregate and

analyze collected data to address challenges of crime

prevention, traffic management, etc.

The critical driver of success was our understanding of

customer needs through site surveys, investigations along

with domain expertise, strong local presence, after market

service network (post the end of DLP period), reputed timely

project execution and professional service setup.

Our technology partners are Cisco (Networking), Videonetics

(VMS) and Trinity (CCC) to provide customization as per

customer needs.

The success of this project was made possible by the great
