We operate in a learning environment therefore we would appreciate that you consider the following when making your appointment:

• additional time may be required for services/treatments - we would appreciate if this could be allowed for.

• services/treatments availability may vary throughout the academic year due to course requirements.

• services/treatments are supervised by our trained and experienced lecturers.• we cannot guarantee you the same student for every appointment (unless your service/

treatment is a Case Study)• parental/guardian consent may be required for certain treatments.• a consultation is integrated into every treatment to identity aims, objectives and possible

contra-indications to treatment• you are responsible for your own personal belongings including those removed for treatment

purposes. Moray College UHI will not be responsible for the loss, damage or theft of any personal items

LevelsOur courses range from introductory to advanced level and as such our students skills and knowledge increase throughout the various levels. This is reflected in the pricing structure:

• Access to Beauty (A2B): students working at introductory level

• SCQF Level 5: students working towards a basic SVQ at SCQF Level 5 (formerly SVQ Level 2)

• SCQF Level 6: students who have achieved a SVQ at SCQF Level 5 (formerly SVQ Level 2), or have a minimum of 3 years industrial experience (course dependant)

• HNC: students who have achieved SVQ at SCQF Level 6 (formerly SVQ Level 3) or have 5 years industrial experience (course dependant)

• HND: students who have achieved HNC

Every effort will be made by staff & students to comply with the Health & Safety At Work etc. Act 1974.

SKIN TEST/SENSITIVITY TEST

Due to strict Health and Safety Regulations, it is necessary for all clients to have a skin test/sensitivity test before their first appointment for the following services:

• Hair Colouring (24 - 48 hours before)

• Eyelash/Eyebrow Tinting (at least 24 hours before)

• Application of False Lashes (at least 24 hours before)

• Lash Lift/Creative Brows (at least 24 hours before)

This relevant test must be carried out by our students within the learning and teaching environment. Unfortunately, treatment cannot be carried out without undergoing a test.

HairdressingAll Hairdressing Services and Costs are subject to consultation.

Initial Colouring costs may vary depending on the colouring process required.Long Hair Colour Work (below shoulder) - there will be an additional charge from £10.00 on all colour services.

A Skin Test, which must be carried out in Moray College UHI, is required 24 - 48 hours before any Colour Service.
