Hays, KS June 2nd-June 4th

This will be the first of two MAYB Basketball tournaments offered in Hays

this summer. We will be offering quality basketball for girls’ and boys’ for 4th

through 12th grade age groups. We will be utilizing excellent gym facilities that are located in the Hays area, and sportsmanship & competition that is always top notch.

While in Hays there are many activities to enjoy. Aquatic Park, Sternberg

Museum, and Historic Old Fort Hays just to mention a few. The Aquatic Park was recently constructed and includes a fantastic 3 pool complex featuring a floating river, waterslides, and much more. The Sternberg Museum and Children’s Discovery Center provides education through entertainment for all ages.

Gym Directions

• All directions are based on a starting point of where I-70 intersects Vine Street on the north edge of Hays by Applebee’s, except the directions to FHSU gyms.

Hays High School Gym A and Gym B (HHS A, HHS B) 2300 East 13th

• Go 1.8 miles south on Vine Street. You will go through 7 stoplights including the one at the Vine street I-70 intersection.

• At the corner of 13th street and Vine street (Amoco, Kwik Shop, Burger King, Subway) turn left and go 1 mile east to the intersection of Canterbury and 13th street (the first stop light you will meet). You will see a Casey’s store on the left side of the street.

• Go forward 2 blocks; the school is on the right side of the street. Go in the first entrance and enter through the south side gym door only.

Hays Recreation Gyms 1&2 (HRC1 & HRC2) 1105 Canterbury Drive

• Go 1.8 miles south on Vine Street. You will go through 7 stoplights including the one at the Vine street I-70 intersection.

• Go .8 miles south on Vine Street. You will go through 4 stoplights including the one at the Vine street I-70 intersection.

• At the corner of 27th street and Vine street (Cerv’s Conco, Wal-Greens, ALCO) turn right and go to the first stoplight (27th street and Fort street).

• Turn right on Fort Street and go 2 blocks north to 29th street. Turn left and enter the school through the west side parking lot.

• From Interstate 70 East or West, turn south at US 183 Bypass (exit 157) and go straight to Gross Memorial Coliseum located on the FHSU campus.

• Enter the gyms at the south end of the facility. You may enter through the east or west doors.
