GENERAL ADVICE

• DO something. Revision needs to be active

• Revise in a family space where parents can support/monitor

• Revision for Maths should produce an outcome. Ask to see what they have done.

• They CAN’T revise for Maths in front of the TV or with their phone next to them (no matter what they might tell you)

• Revision for GCSEs is hard (for parents and student alike), they will need your encouragement, nagging and support

PAST PAPER PACKS

• The ESSENTIAL element of revision for Maths

• Number of packs properly completed correlates with grade (at least 4 packs or 12 papers)

• Will have one pack for HCSEs but an endless supply for GCSEs (never without something to do)

• Need to be done thoroughly

• Teachers then mark every paper and return it

• Students then need to seek help on last paper before starting the next one
