Low Expansion Branchpipes

The Angus series of low expansion foam branchpipes has

been designed with long range performance in mind. There

are three basic models with nominal foam solution

throughputs of 225, 450 and 900 litres/mm at 7 bar.

Selfinducing models are available in the 225 and 450

litre/minute versions.

All models produce finished foams of nominal expansion 10 :

1 and give foam streams of an exceptional range. To get the

best results from these branchpipes we recommend use with

either Tankmaster Fluoroprotein foam or Alcoseal AR-FFFP

multi-purpose foam concentrate.

Rimseal Foam Equipment

Angus Rimseal Foam Equipment is used for the protection of

vertical open top floating roof (OTFR) storage tanks and

comprises two elements - the Rimseal Foam Generator (RFG)

which produces expanded foam when supplied with foam

solution and the Rimseal Foam Pourer (RFP) which delivers

the foam gently into the rimseal area.

Available in two basic body sizes (the RFG 50 and RFG 80),

with capacities ranging from 54 litres/minute at 4 bar to 684

litres/minute at 10 bar, each unit is factory-calibrated to

deliver a specified flow at a given pressure.

Full Surface Top Pourers

Floating roof storage tanks are inherently very safe, with fire

risks mainly confined to the seal area. However, wear and tear

of the seals can allow them to become contaminated with fuel.

In the event of an ignition source, such as lightning, a rimseal

fire may occur. The normal fire-fighting systems for floating

roof tanks such as Angus Rimseal Pourers are highly

effective in flooding the seal area and quickly extinguishing a

fire.

The Angus Full Surface Top Pourer is specifically designed to

provide these higher flow rates whilst generating good quality

expanded foam when used with a high performance Angus

foam concentrate.

FIREHAWK HIGH VOLUME PUMPING/MONITORS SYSTEMS

Hawkes Fire are now at the forefront of the development of high volume trailer monitors for

large atmospheric storage tank fires.

Numerous incidents worldwide have proved that foam monitors must be designed to

overcome the combined challenges of fire fighter safety, long throw and the required

application rate for foam. Without this a successful extinguishment is not possible.

Our 30,000 & 23,000 litre per minute Firehawk monitors are now in use by various leading oil

companies. However, it doesn’t stop with the monitor. Supplying water at both high volume

and high pressure is an essential requirement so we have developed our own 15,000 lpm

trailer pumps to provide a mobile resource that can be deployed around your site. Linked

together using Angus Hi Vol layflat hose with a hose storage and retrieval system means that

limited manpower can be optimised for an effective response.

We pride ourselves on our ability to provide bespoke solutions for site-specific risks, should

the information below not meet with your requirements please do not hesitate to contact us to

discuss and our highly skilled engineering team will advise the best possible design to meet

with your risk.
