Hawaii

Hawaii is an group of islands in the PacificOcean, consists of 18 islands and is a state of theU.S.A..The languages that speak the inhabitantsof the island group is the Hawaiian and English.The welcome is always done with the "aloha“together with offering collared flowers. The largestisland also called Hawaii and the Americans is calledthe "Big Island". Its capital and largest city is Chononoulou.

1)In the Antiquity they were living in huts, which were made of grass, wood, straw and dried plants.

2) Now they are living in skyscrapers and normal houses, which are made of glass, bricks and concrete.

Traditional Foods

• There are 7 traditional foods:1) Poi is a thick paste made from taro root.2) Laulau is made with pork wrapped in layers

of taro leaves and cooked in an underground hot rock oven for hours.

3) Kalau Pig is a pork which roasts slow so it becomes extremely tender and retains a remarkable smoky flavor.

4) Poke is the Hawaiian version of Japanese sashimi (raw fish).

5) Lomi Salmon is cured with salt and diced up along with tomatoes, onions, and normally some chili peppers.

6)Chicken Long Rice is a combination of clear mung bean noodles cooked in chicken soup.

7) Fruit (like Pineapple).
