Kalapana was once a treasured Hawaiian fishing

village. It was also the site of one of the largest and nicest black

sand beaches.

This small harbor is home to numerous sport fishing and scuba dive boats. It one of the two major harbors on Hawaii.

June to October is the hottest beach weather, December to March the

wettest.
