THE WAR 

The war has been going on sin'e beore the 'hara'ters were spored/ the humans to thesouth have been pushing their people urther and urther ba'k into the mountains overgenerations o warare. Clan borders have been rewritten and erased and the great or'amilies are redu'ed to a nation o reugees" banding together or se'urity in the 'oldmountains o the north.

0ut no more/ The Grand Warlord Skull$Smasher has united the tribes under a single banner"and by using revolutionary military te'hni1ues" has started to push ba'k.

THE HAVOC BRIGADE

The Havo' 0rigade is a 'ra'k s1uad o or's" tough enough and smart enough to iniltratehuman 'ities and get out alive. Thanks to an or',s natural in'lination towards 'haos" themess they leave in their wake earned them the title o -Havo' 0rigades2 amongst thehuman guards in the region. Skull$Smasher liked it" so he,s adopted it as their oi'ial name.

The Havo' 0rigade brings together the greatest representatives rom the ra'tured or''lans" emissaries rom other 'ountries and ra'es" and a sta'k o goblins that no$one hadthe heart to kill.

ORC GENDER 

#r's don,t have traditional genders" as humans know them : they reprodu'e ase3ually byspreading spores and growing in sa's under the ground. That said" to human eyes" mostor's demonstrate hyper$mas'uline traits 8big mus'les and rame" a drive towards physi'aldominan'e and aggression" brutality" repression o emotion9 so humans reer to or's as-he2 or -it.2

That pronoun 'onvention has 'arried on in Havo' 0rigade/ most or's are reerred to as -he"2aside rom the #3. + you want your 'hara'ter to identiy as emale" though" go or it.

As ar as goblins go" they,re androgynous in the same way street ur'hins are androgynous :humans igure there might be a gender under all that ilth and stolen 'lothing" but they,retoo busy guarding their 'oin$purses to 'are mu'h either way.

Goblins reprodu'e mu'h in the same way as or's" and they,re not seen as su'h a threat asor's so they sometimes blend with human so'iety at an e3tremely low so'ial level" thesame way that stray dogs and 'ats -blend2 with human so'iety.

THE MISSION

#n'e players have 'hosen their 'hara'ters" start the game. The Great Warlord Skull$Smasher invites them into his tent 8or they sneak in unnoti'ed9 and he outlines the missionto them as they sit around a map o )reiberg.

Their mission is to subdue and e3tra't a human military leader" the mu'h$hated *rin'eTheodore Holstein" rom the pala'e at the 'entre o the town. #n'e the *rin'e is ba'k in theor' 'amp" he 'an be interrogated or inormation on the human military plans.

Thanks to the tenuous nature o the new allegian'e between the 'lans and the inherentnature o or' bi'kering" a or'e 'omposed o elements rom all the major power blo's hasbeen ele'ted to ta'kle the mission. +t is widely a'knowledged that this is a terrible idea" butit,s the best one they have.

The *rin'e is having a party" say Skullsmasher,s spies" in two nights, time. That is when the

or's will strike : when he" and his guards" will be distra'ted by the musi' and noise andtheir weak human beer.

PLANNING

+t,s up to the or's to plan how they,re getting in" through" and out o the 'ity. G(" talkthrough the planning pro'ess in$'hara'ter with the players. Skull$Smasher is a broad$brushmanager and preers to leave details up to his underlings" so he,s keen to go ahead withwhatever the 0rigade suggests so long as they 'onvin'e him it,s a good idea.

ALTERNATIVE MISSIONS

S/ILLS add one di'e to an appropriate a'tion. !ou 'an only add one di'e rom skills to anygiven roll.

E01IPMENT adds one di'e" so long as you e3plain how it,s useul to your a'tion. !ou 'anuse e1uipment a limited number o times beore it -runs out/2 when that happens" it,s

either broken" lost" out o ammo" or you get bored o it.

!ou 'an use as many dierent pie'es o e1uipment as you like on a roll" so long as you 'an'onvin'e the G( that they,re appli'able" but you may only use ea'h pie'e o e1uipmenton'e per roll.

DRIVES add two di'e so long as you,re working toward satisying them. Like e1uipment"drives are limited$use" and you 'an use as many o them as the G( deems appli'able perroll : but you 'an only use ea'h drive on'e per roll.

MAYHEM adds anywhere rom two to L#A;S o di'e" but you 'an only engage in mayhem

on'e per game. +t,s a bit 'ompli'ated" though" so we,ll go into it in more detail later.

ANTAGONISTS

G(" your antagonists are the guards and soldiers in the 'ity. There are a bun'h o sampleantagonists listed at the end o this do'ument.

When you a't" you a't as all the guards in an area/ there,s an undeined number" roughly

represented by the number o suspi'ion di'e you 'urrently have available. Get des'riptivewith how many there are" what they,re up to" what they,re doing" how they,re armed" et'.

!ou 'an assume that ea'h distin't unit o guards has a number o members e1ual to itsmorale plus or minus a 'ouple/ when an or' a'ts in 'ombat" it,s un to assume that everysu''ess removes a s1uad member" but play ast and loose with this or the sake o drama.

When an or' atta'ks a guard" they,re atta'king the s1uad,s morale and the authority o theleader/ they 'an,t hope to kill every guard in the 'ity" but i they keep moving and aim tos'atter s1uads then move on" they,ll do okay.

#n'e a s1uad,s morale points have been removed" the whole s1uad is out o the ight :they run away" surrender" lose the or's in the 'haos o the 'ity" die" trip and all" get kno'kedout" or whatever. They,re no longer a threat.
