OEOB0B Vf. PAYNE, X a. respected citizen, died at his residence en Waterman street last night, of paraly­sis. Mr. FATMB was born In Rensselaer coun'y ne&r Albany, June 22d, 1822. He came to thli city in 1S42, where he hss re­sided ever since. In 18i0 he married, and bli wife still survives him. He was for­mally a membar of the Odd Fellow fra­ternity, but of late jesrs had dropped bis connection with the order. Seven years ago he was stricken with paralysis. Since that time he 1 ai b^en a great Eufterer. In 1884 he was taken to the polls and voted for CLKVSLAND. This was the fiist time that he had been out of tbe house siuee Ui illness. From tbat time until now he has gradually grown worse, passing quietly away as stated before. He leaves two b others and a sister besides his wife. The funeral will be observed from tbo house ^Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
