    Q.Who will my host be?

    A. Our homestay providers vary from a typical family of a mother, father and children

to a single person or a retired couple. All of our host families are friendly, welcoming

and enjoy the company of foreign students. When choosing your host family, we take

into account any preferences or special requirements you may have; e.g. if you have a

vegetarian or if you would prefer to stay without a family with pets or young children,

please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.

    Homestay Frequently Asked Questions

    Q.Where will I be staying?

    A. The majority of our families live in residential areas which are usually within 30

    minutes walking distance.

Q.What will my room be like?

    A. You will have a comfortable single room with adequate storage space for your clothes

and a desk and chair so that you can study.

Q.What do I need to bring with me?

    A. Your host family will provide you with bedding and towels so you do not need to

bring these with you. You may however wish to bring a laptop, as not all of our

Q.What are the benefits of staying with a host family rather than in a hotel or self-catered

    accommodation?

    A. Staying with a host family provides you with the opportunity to experience the British way

of life and to practise your English outside of the classroom.

    Q. How much time will I spend with my host family?

    A. After school you will have the opportunity to eat with your host family and many

families enjoy spending time with students after dinner, perhaps watching tv or having

    a chat!

Q.Will there be other students in the house?

    A. There is a possibility that another foreign student may be staying with the same host

family as you, however we always make sure that no two students who have the same

    native language are staying together.

Q.Will there be pets in the house?

    A. The British are famous for being animal lovers, so it is possible that your host family

own a cat or a dog. However, if you are allergic to pets or dont like animals very much,

it is important to let us know so that we can find you a family with no pets.

Q.What facilities can I expect at my host familys house?

    A. There will be laundry facilities so that you can wash your clothes. Your host family will do

your laundry at least once a week and will often offer you the use of an iron if required.

Many of our homestay providers have Wifi, which is also available free of charge in the

    school.
