The Better Business Bureau ServingWisconsin continues to receive calls fromconsumers stating they received a call fromthe “IRS” saying they owe money whichneeds to be paid promptly. The BBB hasalso received calls from local accountantscalling to report such calls on behalf of aclient.

“Do not become a victim,” says RanHoth, CEO and President. “This is anaggressive phone scam in which callersuse scare tactics in an attempt to get yourmoney. They may sound convincing whenthey call, but it’s a scam. Don’t fall for it.”

The scam has been making the roundsthroughout the country, includingWisconsin. Typically, callers use fakenames, may leave “urgent” voicemail mes-sages and use “caller ID spoofing”, whichdeliberately alters or disguises the identityof a caller.

Recipients of these calls and victimsalike report that the scammers state you

have unpaid taxes and demand immediatepayment in the form of a pre-paid debitcard or wire transfer. They threaten arrest,deportation, or loss of a business or dri-ver’s license, if payment is not made.

Rosemarie Bosch of Rosie's Tax &Bookkeeping Services, LLC, Franklin tellsthe BBB that she has received calls fromclients of all ages since June.

"I've been receiving reports fromclients saying they've received unsolicitedcalls from people with thick, foreignaccents misidentifying themselves as beingwith the IRS and stating they owe money",says Rosemarie. "They’re told that if theydon't pay up, there will be a warrant outfor their arrest. I tell my clients this is ascam, they shouldn’t worry, and the IRSwould never call them on the phone."

Being called the “largest ever” tele-phone fraud scam targeting innocent tax-payers, the IRS has been posting warningsfor months alerting the public about callersposing as Internal Revenue Service repre-sentatives in an effort to defraud.

The IRS will never call to demandimmediate payment, or request paymentwithout giving you the opportunity to ques-tion or appeal the amount they say youowe, It also does not ask for paymentusing a pre-paid debit card or wire trans-fer, and doesn’t make threats such as

deportation or arrest.Report IRS impersonation calls immedi-

Dear James, I have been at the forefront of denturetechnology for many years and currently lecture aboutdenture technology to other dentists. In our office we

offer Deluxe Turbyfill dentures, CAD/CAM denturesand standard economy dentures.

The differences between these types of dentures haveto do with the amount of time taken to make the dentures,the processing technique and the quality and type of denture teeth selected.

There are currently two types of CAD/CAM orcomputer aided design and computer aidedmanufacturing companies making dentures. One type of denture the Dentca denture is an extremely accuratelyfitting denture that can be fabricated in as few as twovisits. This technique involves taking a highly accurateimpression and bite registration at the first visit and thenat the second visit delivering the denture! An optionaltry-in appointment is also available. These dentures arebeautiful and extremely accurate. The advantage of milled dentures is that once the denture is designed it canbe remade in 2 days! The computer can simply printanother denture if one is ever lost. Patients must realizethat gum tissues can change so there may be a need toreline a reprinted set or take a new impression if gum

changes have occurred. The material that is used to printthe dentures is non-porous and remains color stablewithout incurring as much stain as traditional dentures aswell.
