CIED 7602: Online Teaching Endorsement Competency Checklist (OTECC) Instructions for completion for CIED 7602: You will consider only the rows of the checklist that are unshaded; that is, those that were intended to be addressed by CIED 7602 or prior experience such as In-Tech or other instructional technology courses and job experiences. If you completed CIED 7601 in a prior semester, retain the information you placed in the checklist, and add new descriptions and evidence resulting from your completion of CIED 7602. If you have not previously completed CIED 7601, use this supplied form as the basis for your checklist. Carefully read each performance outcome. Describe at least one piece of evidence that shows your achievement or progress toward the desired performance outcome. If possible, attach the evidence, or direct the reader to where it might be found in the KMS. Then place an “X” in the Candidate Self-Assessment Box that best describes your accomplishment at this point in the Online Teaching Endorsement program. Do this for each performance outcome. I have filled out the first three performance outcomes as a sample—cut my examples and replace with your own information. I have also indicated possible ideas as to what you might want to use for evidence from the assignments completed in CIED 7602. You do not have to use any of these ideas; however, they may be useful because the course assignments were designed to align with the performance outcomes. Remember that at least one piece of evidence is required for each performance outcome; the same evidence may demonstrate multiple outcomes. When you are finished, save this document with a file name using the naming convention LastName_FirstInitial_OTECC_7602.doc (e.g. Doe_J_OTECC_7602.doc). CIED 7602: Online Teaching Endorsement Competency Checklist (OTECC)

Instructions for completion for CIED 7602:

You will consider only the rows of the checklist that are unshaded; that is, those that were intended to be addressed by CIED 7602 or prior experience such as In-Tech or other instructional technology courses and job experiences.

Upload the file to the CIED 7602 OTECC Page that I have added to your KMS. Make sure to keep a copy of the document for your files.

I will examine your OTECC and add my assessment of your progress upon completion of all requirements in CIED 7602. As you progress through the Online Teaching Endorsement Courses, this checklist will document your accomplishments and assessments. At the end of the program (completion of the three specified courses for the Online Teaching Endorsement), the candidate’s advisor will use the OTECC and supporting KMS as evidence of candidate readiness for endorsement recommendation.
