SUbSTATIONS ANd SWITCHYARdSWe perform substation and switchyard construction from the ground up including engineering, material procurement, site work, foundation construction, grounding systems, steel erection, bus work installation, welding, power and control cable installation, testing, and finish rock for stations through 500kV. We’ve also constructed Static Var Compensation Sta-tions and stations requiring sophisticated Dynamic Var and Capacitor Bank Systems.

dISTRIbUTIONWe have performed all types of overhead and underground distribution from new development in rural areas to urban repair and rebuild projects. We are recognized for our ability to perform road widening projects for distribution lines, reconductor work, rebuilds, pole change outs, street lighting, overhead and underground distribution systems for new subdivisions, military facilities, oil & gas fields, petro-chemical facilities, refineries and retro-fitting projects. We maintain numerous, on-going, yearly contracts to provide a variety of overhead and underground distribution services for a number of clients throughout the U.S.

EMERGENCY/STORM RESTORATIONWe also have resources to perform storm restoration throughout the U.S. and recently provided crews to National Grid, Northeast Utilities and Long Island Power Authority to assist during the aftermath of Hurricane Irene and Hurricane Sandy. We maintain annual storm contracts with clients such as National Grid, Northeast Utilities, Public Service of New Hampshire, AEP, Detroit Edison and PEPCO Energy, Inc.

TRANSMISSION We have completed hundreds of transmission projects ranging from 69kV through 500kV, and more than 1,000 miles of optical ground wire (OPGW). While maintaining solid relationships with landowners and respecting and addressing environmental concerns on right-of-ways, we have completed projects in some of the most challeng-ing of conditions.Whether we are working on farmland or mountains, in solid rock or across rivers, on flat sandy soil or on steep rocky inclines, we get the job done. We have experience installing structures ranging from 60’ wood poles (including phase raising) up to 280’ steel structures. We construct steel lattice towers and tubular steel poles using both direct embedment and steel reinforced concrete caissons in a wide variety of soil conditions.
