Happy Valley Tennis Club End of Season Newsletter 2014/15 Grand Finals! Congratulations to the 8 Junior and 5 Senior teams who played in Grand Finals recently. Great to have so many teams in Grand Finals and fantastic to have 5 Junior Premierships and 1 Senior Premiership. Below are some pictures of our Junior and Senior Premiers and Junior Runners Up teams. Results for other Senior Grand Finalists are – Div 1 Mixed runners up to Denman, Div 4 Mixed runners up to Denman, Div 4/5 Ladies only runners up to Kesmond and Div 4 Mens only runners up to Kingswood. Div 1 Girls Premiers Div 2 Blue Boys Premiers Div 3 Boys Runners Up to Div 6 Blue Girls Premiers against Denman against Colonel Light West Kesmond by 2 games against Mercedes Div 4 Boys Div 5 Green Boys Div 10 Boys Premiers Div 12 Boys Premiers Div 3 Mixed Premiers Runners Up to Runners Up against Mercedes against Hope Ward against Denman Morphett Vale to McLaren Vale Thankyou!! A big thankyou to everyone who participated in the summer season & especially to our hard working committee members & those volunteers who took on extra responsibilities. To everyone who stepped up to be a team manager and to Jenny Pacor our score sheet secretary – thankyou!! A big thankyou to Vicki Norris the canteen manager for her fantastic work in the canteen and to all of the parents and juniors who helped in the canteen on Saturday mornings and Friday nights. Also to Jim Dickson & John Matthews for sweeping the courts every Saturday morning. We couldn’t put 22 teams on the court each week without all of you!! Last but not least, a huge thankyou to Simon for all of his time spent co-ordinating the juniors and for all of his hard work around the club. Well done everyone!! Senior & Junior Presentations Our recently held combined Junior and Senior presentation night was a great success with over 140 people attending. Congratulations to all players who won Most Consistent Awards for their team and to all of the winners of the Club Raffle that was also drawn on the night. A huge thankyou to Vicki Norris for the delicious 2 course meal that was served on the night. Thankyou also to her helpers Andrea Scrimshaw, Kelli Weatherall, Tina Evans, Kathy Longhurst and Taryn Gartner. Thanks to the Dunning family and especially Edie for running and selling fundraising lucky squares and guess the lollies competitions. The disco was also a hit with the kids – thanks to Heath Steer for putting up the disco ball!! Below are some photos from the night.
