Happy Pentecost a little early I love Pentecost! Unfortunately, I think we overlook this time in the church calendar, both in our theological reflection and our practical daily life. I challenge you in this Pentecost Season to join us in reading through the book of Acts and asking God "What would it look like to live this out in my life and in the life of my church this week?" I am convinced that God is moving in a new way across Europe, but with the same power and purpose as in the pages of Acts. So we would like to give you a small picture of how we are seeing God work in some of the communities in which we are currently working. Where We Work Lunéville This is where we live and in many ways it is the most difficult of all the places we work. Over the last few months, however, we have seen God begin to open doors. We followed up a series of evangelistic meetings with a Discovery Group. We have several people coming Sunday nights to Eat, Pray, Read and Obey! We are using the "Creation to Christ" approach where we look at 7 key stories in the OT and 7 in the NT. People are devouring the Scripture, bringing good questions to the group and sharing with others what they have learned. You never know what will happen in this group! Pray that God will add to our numbers and that the truth, love and power of Jesus will flood their hearts. Verdun

Where We Work

Lunéville

This is where we live

and in many ways it isthe most difficult of allthe places we work.

Over the last fewmonths, however, we

have seen God begin toopen doors. We

followed up a series ofevangelistic meetings

with a Discovery Group. We have several peoplecoming Sunday nights to

Eat, Pray, Read and Obey! We are using the "Creation to Christ" approachwhere we look at 7 key stories in the OT and 7 in the NT. People are

devouring the Scripture, bringing good questions to the group and sharingwith others what they have learned. You never know what will happen inthis group! Pray that God will add to our numbers and that the truth, love

and power of Jesus will flood their hearts.

Matt travels 4 hours roundtrip to Verdun once a week to prayer walk andto look for people andplaces of peace in hopesof starting DiscoveryGroups. He has beeninvited into a café to begina group on the life ofJesus and has foundanother person who wantsto start reading andlearning more about Jesus. In addition, God has opened up doors with aMuslim café owner. They have talked about who Jesus claimed to be andMatt has given him the Jesus film. Pray for 2-3 groups to be birthed and forthe social networks of these people and places to be reached with theGospel.

Toul

We continue to help our colleague in Toul, which is about 45 minutes from Lunéville. We help with the evangelistic service that averages around 40-50

people and Matt leads aBible study and will

occasionally preach at theSunday Service. This fall,

for the third time, the churchwill be offering an Alpha

Course.
