To prevent adding another piece of single use plastic to the landfill you won’t find a lobster bib in the box this year. Please pop the cardboard box from tonight’s dinner into your black bin and reuse the containers that we packed your dinner items in. They are reusable containers, great for leftovers and the perfect addition to your collection of take out “tupperware”. happy new year!

  • Dinner Preparation

    Pelican Shrimp Cocktailpreparation: - ready to plate and serve

    We season, steam and chill our Cocktail Shrimp everyday to serve you the freshest shrimp possible. We have packed yours with our Pelican cocktail sauce and lemon. We suggest a 60’s inspired plating. Hang them off a Martini glass, with your cocktail sauce in the glass.

    Lobster Bisquepreparation:

    - reheat Lobster Bisque in a saucepan, over medium heat for 7 minutes stirring several times

    Our delicious Lobster Bisque is now Gluten free thanks to a tip from one of our culinary heroes Julia Child. Our recipe starts with a rich Lobster stock made by roasting Lobster shells and finishes with fresh cream and brandy.

    Julia’s tip... rather than using a roux to thicken our bisque we cook rice with the soupbase and puree it to achieve the correct thickness.

    Lobster timepreparation: - serve your cooked and cracked Lobster chilled with warm Garlic butter - reheat your Garlic butter in a saucepan on the stove at medium heat for 5 minutes

    Your freshly steamed and chilled 1-1/4 lb Lobsters were prepared by the friendly Pelican Seafood fishmongers. Maybe it’s the frigid Atlantic water or perhaps because we are ready for a treat now that the snow is flying but we think this is the best Lobster of the year.

    Want your Lobster hot? - Put a couple of inches of water in a large pot. - Place a vegetable steamer basket in the bottom of the pot and bring water to a rapid boil. - Place the lobsters on to the vegetable steamer and cover the pot with a tight fitting lid. - Turn the heat off immediately and allow the lobsters to sit in the steam for 4-5 minutes or until they feel warm.

    Be careful not to overheat your lobster or it may become tough.

    Rice Pilaf preparation: - Heat the rice pilaf in the microwave in its package for 5 minutes on high heat or until it's hot. - For a conventional oven; preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Transfer the rice to an oven proof container, add 2 tablespoons of water and wrap tightly with foil. Cook rice for 20-25 minutes or until the rice is hot.

    This delicious side dish is a combination of saffron and lemon scented long grain riceenriched with onion, celery, red pepper and Canadian peas.

    The folks who make our delicious Lobster Mac n’ Cheese, Seafood pies and incredible platters have made individual Chocolate Espresso Pot de Crème to finish your meal.
