EVENTS:

Fully Alive as Missionary Disciples

Consider a brick. On its own, a brick doesn’t really serve much purpose. With other bricks, a single brick can be part of something amazing: a sturdy wall, a dec-orative walkway, or an elaborate castle! Bricks are simply more functional in com-

munity than they are in isolation. In today’s reading from the first letter of Peter, he calls you and I into a similar community. He says, “like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices…” Like bricks, disciples are made to work together. The church is not a simply a building, it made up of “living stones” with Jesus Christ as the Cornerstone! We have been living in isolation for many weeks now, making most of us quite aware of the need for our spiritual community. One day soon we are going to be reunited with those people, but don’t miss the opportunity to connect right now! Pick up the phone! Write a letter! Pray for one another! Be creative in your discipleship, and seek out work that glorifies God!

Rescheduled: Profession of Faith—RCIA

Pentecost Sunday, May 31st

Also, remember that attending Mass at this time is still not mandatory as Bishop Kemme’s dispensation is still on-going.
