1 What’s different?

1.1 Hardware

The HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 is very similar to the HP Spectre Pro x360 Convertible PC G2. The

convertibles share many features and specifications, but there are also some differences.

3 Windows 10 Anniversary Update

The following features have been introduced to Windows 10 with the Redstone 1 update.

Continuum—Wirelessly cast your phone or tablet’s screen (using Continuum) to a PC installed with

the Anniversary Update

While music is playing, the music controls can be accessed from the lock screen

A new emoji keyboard is available

Windows Ink is now supported for a more natural pen-driven experience

Sticky notes are now integrated with Cortana, so that you can share notes across your devices and

use them to create reminders

Microsoft Edge now supports a range of extensions that are available from the Windows Store

Dark mode can be applied across apps from the Windows Store that support a dark theme

The Battery saver screen in Settings has been renamed to Battery

Settings updates

– All of the pages in the Settings app now have their own icons

– Action Center Quick Access tiles can be reshuffled and changed

– Action Center notifications can be prioritized

– The Battery saver page has been renamed to Battery, and automatically enabling battery saver

has been simplified

– The Device encryption and Windows Insider Program links have now been included in the Update

& security page

Windows Hello—You can now use Windows Hello on your phone to unlock a paired desktop PC or

notebook

Maps—Use the Maps app to search for interesting spots like restaurants, bars and hotels. Save your

search results as a custom list that you can share with others

Cortana

– You can get Cortana to automatically complete tasks like ordering food or sending you alerts

– Receive text or missed call notifications, from a paired phone, on your convertible

– Use your convertible to reply to text messages on a paired phone and receive low phone battery

alerts

– Create a list, like a shopping list, that you can view and edit across your devices

– Save information with Cortana, like an image of an important document, so that you can ask her

about it later
