Our cargo handling facilities have been designed to meet the highest industry requirements in terms of productivity and efficiency for cargo of all types and sizes. In addition to Loose Cargo Acceptance and Release and fully automated BUP Cargo Handling/Storage capabilities, we provide accurate Cargo Build-up and Break-down services operated by trained and experienced staff. Alha Cargo Handling Services are available both online – at our major cargo handling terminals in MXP and FCO – and offline, all over our network. Whether a shipment is accepted at our airport terminals or at any of the stations all over our network, we guarantee fast, secure and smooth operations.

Alha MXP is the leading Cargo Handling Agent at Milan MXP airport, with a capacity of 400,000 tons per year. Our current turnover is just less than 300,000 tons per year, with 32 Airlines served and an average of 34 full-freighter flights handled per week. Based at Milan Malpensa Airport since 1997, Alha Cargo terminal is located in the Cargo City buildings E and F, just in front of the freighters' parking bays. MXP is a cargo-friendly airport, with two 4,000 m runways and no night curfews; our state-of-the art 25.000 sqm Cargo Terminal and has an automated stacking, retrieval and loading system for up to 550 unit load devices (ULD), entirely controlled by MaCS, our C2K fully compatible IT Cargo System.

Milan MXP Cargo Terminal

Our MXP terminal is equipped with 40 docks for loose cargo, 12 docks for BUPs and a dedicated acceptance gate for oversized shipments where crane services can be arranged at all times, guarantee smooth and non-congested acceptance operations all year round.

Rome FCO Cargo Terminal

Leonardo da Vinci International Airport is Italy's largest passengers airport with 37.7 million passengers served in 2011 and over 100 airlines operating scheduled flights. Located in Fiumicino, 35 km west/southwest of Rome's historic city centre, FCO handles about 150.000 tonns of freight per year and serves as a hub for Alitalia. Alha provides Cargo Handling Services in FCO since 2009 and offers a full range of services consisting of Physical Handling, Document Handling, Security Screening, Handling of Special Cargo.

While operating Italy's largest air cargo trucking network, Alha also provides numerous international connections in a variety of European countries. The synergy between Alha domestic and international trucking services, the Italian offline network and the main airport cargo terminals generates a range of comprehensive solutions specifically shaped both for Airlines and Forwarding Agents. Alha trucking gateways are strategically located in the main airport hubs and logistic parks: scheduled shuttle services connect our stations with multiple daily connections and scheduled/on request international services link the major airports in Europe.

Trucking Routes

Scheduled domestic services Alha Network is connected with daily scheduled shuttle services, which secure non-stop connections between the main airports Italy: FTL and LTL services are available throughout our network.

International routes Our trucking department also arranges and coordinates international trucking connections to the main European destinations. Scheduled services are available to Frankfurt FRA and HHN, Paris CDG and Amsterdam AMS; all other destinations are available both on FTL and LTL basis.
